  4. Hi Ben Yup, I’m down the road in Tunbridge Wells and absolutely, will pm you when I get something booked in. Brands is an awesome track, whether on the full GP circuit or (as most track days there are) the short Indy. I’m thinking sometime around mid March but will have to see how ‘things’ pan out.   7. My St2 came with full Milltek system, including sports cat, but non res and non valved. Sounded great when larking about but godawful drone at motorway speeds. I mean brain-numbingly horrible. Very first job was getting the Milltek resonator fitted. Best £400 I’ve spent in a while. Still sounds great when I want it to but far more bearable on motorway. I won’t say it’s drone-free but it’s perfectly acceptable to me. I’d guess if you got the valved version it would be just about perfect blend. Having never looked under my car properly it makes me laugh each time I walk past the res delete pipe sitting in garage. Looks like a frigging drainpipe. Not on some fire breathing muscle car but my little hatchback. Just tickles me.... I have the black tipped version and again those 4 sodding big pipes at the back looking low-key yet a bit menacing.... [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really interesting how each BBK change seems to have brought about a big improvement over the last. In essence, starting with Tarox, then Stoptech and then apparently a big improvement with Sparta, who I had never heard of before.   12. Yup, fully agree with all you’ve said. Am leaning towards 380/390mm disc plus AP 6 pot Radical 2 setup at the moment. If anyone has a reason why that wouldn’t be a great track solution please shout!
  13. Ah, to be fair, my car is running a fairly aggressive Stage 2 R-Tech engine tune (came with that) and Stage 3 TVS tcu tune (added during my short ownership to sort a clutch slip issue). But I was planning on going there anyway. But yes, I do appreciate that if I head out on track now all I would do would be to cook my standard brakes and get incredibly frustrated. I’ve done a lot of track days in the past (including in a Mk1 Exige, what a track weapon that was, even standard) so I do appreciate what I’m up against in the R. The R however is a great daily driver, my wife is happy tootling about in it and I can get our dog in the boot, not something I can level at a Lotus unfortunately! I’m not far off pension age myself, well, 59 this year, but that doesn’t stop me behaving like a hooligan when conditions allow (on track). I know what I’m letting myself in for..... 🙂
  14. At the moment if I just gun it (not launch) from start I tend to get a bit of wheel hop which sounds just SO bloody horrible... so until I get a dogbone fitted (which will hopefully lessen that issue) any real hard starts are off the menu. Probably. Almost certainly. 😈
  15. It really is enormous fun Eric, if rather addictive. I've found that the occassional track day makes me both a better driver and less likely to get in trouble on the road....
