  1. Anyone else experienced this? It’s happened 3-4 times now in the space of a few months... When I’m exiting a roundabout or going down a large road bump at normal speed (not booting by any means) I have experienced a loss of power for a slight second and the traction light flashes It happens irregularly and i have no issues with traction when flying around corners and doing launches (manual car). Booked in for Monday at the dealership for a look into it as it’s still under warranty. (Golf R MK7 2015 Manual)
  2. Afternoon, 67 plate DSG R is short shifting in manual from 3rd to 4th at around 4,500 rpm intermittently. Master tech at local VW dealer took car out, experienced the fault and immediately said it was an issue / error and that diagnostics would have to be plugged in during one of these short shifts and the data 'sent off' to VW for them to advise. Fast forward 2 weeks, the car is in, master tech is on holiday, another technician is handling the car. After 3 days I call and they say VW have said: 1: It is a normal traction control feature. 2: The technician didn't send off any data that included a short shift, just general gearbox diagnostics data during a normal run. I now seem like the bad guy with the local dealer for suggesting the technician hasn't done what the master technician asked to be done and 2, I am being told that a short shift in manual is a perfectly normal safety feature? Advice on both would be appreciated. If I am wrong I am wrong, just want to know. Cheers.
  3. So my car was serviced 4 weeks ago by VW where they changed the Haldex oil, it would seem that now if I make a hasty get away from a junction the front wheels spin a bit. ( there is 5mm all round on Michelin PSS at the moment ). Before the service no such spinning ever even with barely legal tyres. It's in on Monday for it's donor car front suspension rattle fixes/investigation, so I phoned them and let them know it's not like it was since it was serviced. (I assume the dreaded gunk is clogging the Haldex pump? Slightly and makjjng it less efficient at working.
  4. I'm currently having a worry about my Haldex in my car, as under normal fast driving conditions, I'm occasionally experiencing what feels like understeer. Also, on a straight, slightly damp road, under 50 to 75% acceleration pedal press (Race Mode, DSG in S and ESP in sport), the car made some awful noises and didn't make too much progress- I believe its called tramping? This all said, I did get a slo-mo video of my car in the snow, with the rears spinning, which points to Haldex being OK. So, what do you good folks reckon- can you get sporadic Haldex issues, or is it either working or not, should I get VW to look at it? I don't want to book it in, just for them to say its fine and bill me for the investigative work! Cheers Dan
