GraemeR
Just out of interest what boost levels are people running on stage 1 and stage 2 maps?
Ferg_7R
My Revo stage 2 was about 1.7 bar peak when I logged it. Some other tuners run more boost.
Rjboodell
What is standard boost, and what is considered safe?
GraemeR
I'm sure standard boost is around 17.4 psi. what is the max the is38 can run?
Jon R306
Pretty safe boost levels on the Golf R..I was considering a A45 and tunning it until I saw standard boost was 26.5psi WTF a quick flash and it would go bang in no time💩

Yes but there's plenty of choice, TTE kits seem popular on here, GTX kits were popular on the mk6 Jon R306

GraemeR
I'm running 22.5 psi peak, which equates to around 1.5 bar, so plenty more room out of the turbo goodbadboy

Rick@UnicornMotorDev
There is no safe limit, as boost increases life span decreases. The A45 uses a larger turbo than the R, they are both 2.0 engines so the extra power can only come from boost. Rick JamieRb

Rick Hybrid is a good route then Rick lower boost for the same power and if designed and built well will add very little negatives (lag). GraemeR
Does any other company offer hybrid other than TTE?
