  1. Try showering more regularly, I'm sure the smell will fade and the wife will thank you
  2. I have mine booked in next month this sound s quite drastic. I had assumed it was simply a trim / alignment issue. What were the symptoms?
  3. I use the system literally every day on the my drive to work and I'be never suffered a high speed blip as described. I do sometimes accelerate or brake if it's doing something funny and find this quite natural... I wouldn't describe it as ever being dangerous. I've considerably improved my driving through its 'brake zone training' in all reality. I don't like getting told off by my car! I think it's great on motorways never use it in town. I'm in manual car so it's not really practical for that sort of driving anyway and I've found it can get confused in narrow streets with parked vehicles etc.
  4. I have a clunky sounding clutch but the shift I'd fantastic. Sounds like you're not getting enough release?
  5. No black chrome? That would look awesome I think and is similar in approach to the standard Cadiz wheels which are black on the inside.
  6. The problem is that the system is massively biased to Apple users. My HTC one isn't even read if I plug it in, so I have to use bt streaming to get anything. I have a 64gb card in the box but like to listen to podcasts and spotify so it's not a deal breaker but irritating that I can't just plug in and go, I have to wait until the system tries to read the phone, gives out an error and then calms down again before I can switch back to bt stream and put on something to list to.
  7. It will go up as the car loosens up. My car did the same (20ish)when I first got it, now it's nearer the 29mpg mark in town.
  8. OP should have got a manual. No faff with modes just stick it in a gear and change as often as you like!
  9. Even on track I couldn't really induce any oversteer, it's just not built to do it. I'm sure it's possible if you commit massively to the cause but that was way beyond my comfort zone in a brand new car. Once you drive to its strengths rather than try to go about like a hooligan it's immensely fast and brilliant fun. If you want to smoke tires like Chris harris you'll need a different vehicle. Luckily I have an m5 for tail out action...
  10. Bugs is the right word. Like most people posting here all it boils down to is some slightly irritating rattles and weak trim glue. Hardly the stuff of nightmares. I'm doing too much driving to get any of it sorted! A fun little car that I look forward to getting in and always give it a second glance when I've locked it. Basically a quality item with trivial niggles. Remain calm all you waiting for your car's. They're great
  11. Exhaust, rear doors and when I cleaned it today the rear spoiler practically came off I'm my hands. Still no swirls and it drives alright!
  12. Great write up, I completely agree about the run-in I managed 40 odd miles before I got up the rev range. 1500 miles later nothing has fallen off, no oil used and it's giving over 38mpg on a run (7 on track). I'm from Taunton originally and my folks still live that way so I might have to investigate the roads in the R next time I'm down there! Have fun, I'm really enjoying mine and loads of positive comments from everyone who sees it.
  13. I'm amazed how many of you think 18s are too small. I think they look bloody massive on a little car like the golf but I guess I'm old school. It's all about width for me, I love old skool fat rims with a comparatively small diameter, much cooler!
  14. I also use it all the time. It is very effective and really does make a difference on the longer journeys in traffic.
