  1. Saw this car on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201412099535557
  2. Yeah, plus the fact it only had 10 k miles on and had obviously been looked after. Wasn't a stone chip in sight. The e90 does look like a businessman's car tbh but I think the coupe sits well. It still will go if you push it though. Shame bmw have ruined the red interior on the 4 series by having it on the dash aswell. Looks awful. The speedos etc are looking tired tired now I agree.
  3. Luckily in West Sussex we don't get too much snow I agree about the rwd but learning it on a track is probably a better option lol
  4. Haha I do that. Problem is I normally come out with a new car. Was looking at swapping to a diesel as we want just 1 main car and the Mrs has a 30-40 min drive each way to work. Saw this http://usedcars.vinesofgatwickbmw.co.uk/showroom/3-Series/3.0TD-330d-Sport-Plus/Crawley/3173767-605115327-3497276.aspx?srcmdc=se_ce_re_ but had to resist as got a mortgage going through at the mo. Diesel is now 2p cheaper then petrol at my nearest filling station
  5. http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/jpg/201410/bmw-m235i-with-m-per-5w.jpg Now that is lovely Good find
  6. Thought I'd add some pics while we are talking about it lol
  7. You're only going to have problems in the wet if you're pushing the car too hard. If you're getting the back out and don't like it then it means it's being pushed beyond the drivers capability. I'm an advanced driver so I'm used to going sideways but I've never had the back out in the wet unless I've wanted it to. Everyday driving isn't an issue. Now snow = forget it lmao
  8. The lack of a turbo was a worry but you'd be surprised how quick it is. It's 0-60 in 6 seconds so it's no slouch. If you get the kickdown it can still give you a shunt up the backside lol. Got enough from the r for deposit for the bmw so wasn't bad in the end. It's also got the red leather which I love
  9. I'd ask the same thing lol. I don't know really, always fancied a bmw and it would have saved me a fortune if I'd have done it before the r lol. As soon as I drove it I could see the difference staight away. It may be second slower to 60 but it just felt right driving it, sounds weird but I just felt comfortable behind the wheel. Find it very refined and very relaxing to drive. Always felt like I had to rag the r to get the best out of it being a hot hatch but with the bmw it's just easy to drive. No aggression and no sound actuator thank God.
  10. I had my golf r for around 6 months before I traded it in for a 330i e92. Couldn't be happier. Bmw gave me 2 years servicing, put a new mot on the car, even tinted the windows as it didn't have the privacy glass. Absolutely top notch service. Car is always cleaned whenever it goes in and always get a voucher to pop in and get it cleaned if I'm passing. May have less new technology but haven't moaned about my bmw once. Best car ive ever owned. Service from vw was pants tbh. Wouldn't rush back into one in a hurry.
  11. I traded my r in with bmw and got 25k. Don't expect too much more.
  12. Bmw gave me 25k for mine. Paid under 28 nearly a year ago. Had about 10k on the clock. No leather seats but Prets and pro nav. Traded in my vxr vectra for it which gave me 4.5k as a deposit. So sale price with deposit was 23.5k.

  14. Sorry to hear about this, seems to be on the up. Pretty glad I got rid of my r now as the golf does seem a popular car for the scumbags to pinch. Got myself a bmw e92 330i and noone bats an eyelid. Having a red r i used to get a fair bit of attention and not always from people who were just car enthusiasts. It's not why I got rid but I can understand why you wouldn't want another.
  15. I just got rid of my r and now have a bmw and the service from bmw is superb. Didn't necessarily get a bad service from vw but the bmw garage have really gone that extra mile. It's not so much down to manufacturers it's individual garages. Some good some bad.
