Managed to get a few bits done today. I fitted a new front splitter, exhaust tips that have been powder coated satin silver to match the wheels and a few little things like emptying catch can and cleaning out air filter etc.

Not too much to report at the moment! gave her a long overdue clean today to get rid of the winter grime! Good to see her clean again. I have a few bits waiting to be fitted still, some ECS carbon stuff and a few suspension bits ready for when lockdown eases up!

Mk7 Golf R Estate Spoiler Options????
MTW26 replied to Guitar_freak1985's topic in Modifying your Golf R MK7
I’ve got an Ali express real carbon one meant for a normal non Gti or R hatch, took a bit of messing around to fit. It’s not perfect, but best option for me. im not a fan of the maxton option at all. -
Nice! Looks awesome, I’d love one of these done in alcantara

mine was done at MRC tuning 👍

nice! Can’t go wrong with Alcon!

If you can’t find a custom tuner I’d say go with the L380, it’s properly balanced and with the uprated bearings etc, it’s basically a bomb proof (in theory) standard turbo. With Apr or revo stage 2 you should see 400bhp no problem. I have an L380X on my car, it runs 440bhp, but it NEEDS a proper custom tune. By an experienced tuner! Any off the shelf stage 2 tune will cause massive issues (I know this because I tried it!) like I say, if you can’t get access to a tuner that knows what they are doing, and can do a full custom tune. Then stick with the L380 and a strong off the shelf tune like APR etc.

thanks mate 👍 yes no worries let me know.

just FYI, I don’t notice any noise or squeal from cold with my floating front discs from cold, never had any issues. I wouldn’t worry about it, if you do want floating discs

ah, I was drooling over these brakes when I was last at MRC dropping off my car! I’m sure I’ve seen it a few times there before the brakes, I love the colour, couldn’t believe the brake set up when I saw it this time round, I was hoping I’d see some info online. The car looks stunning. The brakes are unreal! i currently, have 4 pot AP’s on the front on my car, after seeing yours im thinking above moving them to the back and getting some 6 pots on the front!

here is a picture of the tape on my old S2T, it goes in the same place at the new ones. just make sure it goes on both sides of each tab, then poke a hole through it. I didn’t do the tape on the left large tab on the new paddles, just the two right hand little top and bottom.

yes the tape will sort this, I’ll put a video or a few pics up of where I put the tape.
