Well I'm envious of you Wedgewood as I asked for an Octavia VRS estate for my new company car but the policy is Audi only! I'd much rather the Octy! Can't have everything in life I suppose and the Audi will be very comfortable on the motorway and stuck in traffic, if a little numb and benign on a twisty B road!

.........another mk7 for me, a GT 1.4 TSI ACT 150 for work....great car for a high mileage daily, but soon to be replaced with an A4 Avant 190 TDI S Tronic as we've chopped in our Freelander for this...... An Abarth 595c for the Mrs! I absolutely love smashing this around the twisties! Great fun and full length soft top for summer.

Revo Stage 1 DSG - High torque map

Good morning, I've read that the APR high torque stage 1 map requires the remapping of the DSG. Is this the same for Revo? I'd be keen to her peoples' experience of either APR or Revo high torque maps with and without a DSG remap. Thanks, Ian.

I've done 900 miles in mine since I bought it and I have gone from no stone chips to about six already! My car was a VW head office car with only 1200 miles done in 8 months and judging by the condition of the front when I bought it, it will be having a very different life now! its also lapis blue which I understand is very soft. Has anyone got experience of smart repairs for stone chips?

Thanks everyone, I have had a GT with the MQB chassis for nearly two years, and have consistently marvelled at this wonderful chassis. I've spent many hours driving all over the Home Counties and East Anglia wondering what it would be like with R fettling, suspension, brakes and double the power! My BMW Z4 sdrive35i that I was running as my fun car had a wonderful engine and sound track, but having almost always owned a VAG fun car since 1999, I was desperate to get back, and the R has always been on the 'what would I buy if I won the lottery' list, so I took the plunge and I'm delighted with the car so far. I don't plan on taking the car further than Stage 1 and will probably go with Revo as I've heard that this is the most likely to run reliably without too much risk to the turbo. I'm also planning to upgrade the exhaust as the car just isn't vocal enough, but I'm seeking a deep, bassy exhaust delivered in quite a classy way if you know what I mean! I'll also look at a brake upgrade and if that is deemed necessary at Stage 1. I have to say I'm very impressed with the stock brakes so far. I hope to learn all about people's experience with these upgrades over the next few months and start implementing them after the first service due in November, so any thoughts on the above much appreciated! Thanks again, Ian.

Thanks very much Gav, I can totally identify with the excitement you must be feeling! Looks like a lovely spec with the DCC as well. Look forward to seeing some pics. 😀 I'm going to get used to the car first then consider some little tweaks! 😈

Thanks for adding me. I'm Ian from Hampshire and after lusting after a 3 door R since launch, I have just taken delivery of a November 2016 3 door in lapis blue with DSG, satnav, heated seats and panoramic sunroof.
