Apparently on the same night as the attempt on mine another R was taken in Edinburgh and used in a crime in Fife.

Will be avoiding keyless only plus side is they don’t come in the house.

Sleeping is definitely a problem just now.

I thought that also knew they are a risk but didn’t hear much locally. Police said they’re hasn’t been as many recently but it might coincide with ones they have caught getting out and back doing what they do.

Yeah we have an alarm but it didn’t go off as they didn’t actually get in think I can get a panic remote for it so you can set it off from inside the house. the other stuff we’re looking at also to make it as secure as possible.

Car on drive in front of house we don’t have a garage thought it was pretty safe we’re in a courtyard so it’s quite overlooked also rear garden is fully enclosed but they still got in over a wall I think.house is alarmed which is on downstairs at night but that didn’t seem to bother them.going to upgrade a few things inc cctv but hopefully they won’t be back now it’s away. Not prepared to have a crap car but looking at run of the mill a4, c class etc but even they might still be high value targets.

We had an attempted break in last week at 4am while we slept, I heard a noise that I ignored as we have cats going in and out turned out that was them attempting to get in the back door. we were then awoken by then attempted to smash their way through the front door trying to kick it in and smashing the glass. thankfully they didn’t get in the laminated inner glass done it’s job but it was pretty scary and my daughter is terrified in the house. only got the R last September been a blast but I sold it back to the dealer not prepared to wait for the chance it will happen again. im in Edinburgh.

Think I would go upstairs and drop the heaviest thing I could find on his head.

Lack of demand I would imagine end of the day a Golf is a family car. wouldnt be surprised the 3drs get dropped completely at some point.

I like it,looks mega with black wheels, mirrors and roof.

When I collected my GTi I got a set of rubber mats and a mug.
