  1. Thanks for the kind words all. Looks like some have been contemplating the same thing. The car had only done 21k in 4 years and Ive used Motorway to sell it. Got a fantastic price (£2k less than i bought it for) so it made up my mind. I highly recommend Motorway of you are looking to sell, hardest bit was taking the pictures of it but everything else was handled for me. The guy did struggle a bit getting it on the flat bed [emoji23], bit too low even with the ramp extensions! Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  2. Well, that's the end of another car chapter for now. It is very sad to see the Golf go. It has been the best car I have owned and by far the most capable but unfortunately I was just not using it enough to warrant keeping it. With working from home it had become an expensive driveway trophy 😔. For the first time since my 17th birthday I will be carless (wife still has the family wagon). Has anybody else considered giving up their car because of reduced usage? Also if you are interested, I have a few things in the classifieds which I no longer require.
  3. What if the JB4 has already been removed? Can you still clear it somehow? Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
  4. My car was in with them today so thanks for the recommendation. I was at ease when i saw a few R's and a Cupra in the car park. They are well priced and seemed to have done a good job. Will use them for the wifes A3 as well when the time comes. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks all [emoji108] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  6. I have just moved to Bristol and its time for the car to have its first MOT. I want to get the car serviced (inc haldex) at the same time but dont want to take in to a main dealer. Does anyone have any recommendations for really good independents? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  7. They look smart, I have just purchased a set myself. My Chinese carbon fibre ones started to fall apart at the 12 month mark and i cba with buying a set every year. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  8. I had the same issue but spoke with the BMS guys and arranged for a new OBD cable which solved the issue. Not missed a beat since [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  9. Pretty sure this is exactly what the Blackjax immobiliser does. You need to put in a code when you start the car like the Autowatch Ghost but it lets them drive a safe distance before killing the car. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  10. Get another key and poke the pin back in. This can be an issue on flip keys Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  11. I went for the JB4 first and then the BMS pedal box. I would definitely recommend both. If you are going to purchase at different times I would wait a good few months so you can tell the difference (i.e. what's tuning box and what's pedal box). Tuning box is more top end and pedal box gives the feel of more low end. I would be interested to try a DTUK pedal box to see the difference. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  13. So I have had my alignment checked and they said it wasn't too far out. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  14. Could have been catastrophic had one let go so I am thankful for that. I will get my set up checked as soon as I can, wear was mirrored on the other tyre so makes me think it's the set up rather than alignment. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  15. Had a bit of a surprise this evening when I went to get a puncture on a rear repaired.... The inside edge on the fronts were down to the wire! [emoji51] I'm lowered with spacers and my set up is slight toe in but didn't expect this when the rest of the tyre had so much left. Tbh it's a bit embarrassing but I opted to leave the puncture and get some PS4s's all around. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  17. Just looking inside the turbo and it looks like my turbo had some bad dressing [emoji51] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  18. Never mind, I got it with some hammer persuasion and a punch [emoji375] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  19. Does anyone have any tips to get the TT inlet adapter off the turbo? Mine will not undo. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  20. VWR gen 3 springs (blue ones) here without any issues. Been on over a year now. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  21. Here is mine with VWR springs and spacers (11mm front and 16mm rear) Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  22. Mine went under the TT pipe Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  23. Happens on mine with JB4 (map 6) but not all the time. Seems like the gear box isn't ready for the gear change and just kills the power for a second... wierd! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  24. Is this available on the 7.5 DSG as well Rick? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
