  1. This is perfectly normal, the stop start system is intelligent, so when the car in front starts to move your car will start up in preparation to move too!. It did take me a while to work out what was happening though
  2. Yes was the same on my Focus RS, just evaporates as the weather warms ;)
  3. No cables are cut itโ€™s a very small unit that can get hidden and connected anywhere along the Can bus. Does not effect warranty and can be removed and fitted to your next car. mines being fitted in the next couple of days ๐Ÿ‘
  4. Strange as it's now law in the UK afaik When did TPMS become mandatory UK? This was broadened out in November 2014 to include every new passenger vehicle being required to have a TPMS before being sold. In the UK on 1 January 2015, legislation came into force stating that for these vehicles, an inoperative or faulty TPMS sensor would result in an MOT failure.
  5. Since around Nov 2017 all cars have the sensor in the tyres themselves, the old abs system is no longer used.
  6. Yep just had call from dealer all done and taxed ready for 1st March pick up ๐Ÿ‘
  7. Mine is insured as a 19 (2019) Golf R 4motion 300bhp with Admiral it's already on their system.
  8. I've had my Vin number and Reg for over 2 weeks now have also got the insurance to start from the 1st March no issues at all with Admiral. Done this over 2 weeks ago now
  9. Picking mine up the same day as you from Slough
  10. Anyway those that cars are at dealers and want a 1st March pick up should now be able to do so. Many thanks to the people who pestered the other authorities (you know who you are) as I believe this pushed VW into the announcement yesterday. I would now advise those that want their cars at the beginning of March to contact your dealers referring them to the email above if for some reason they have not seen it!
  11. They mean itโ€™s not available at the moment but SMMT have assured them it will be on the system from the 22nd February so the car can be both resistered and taxed then for the 1st March pick up
  12. Email just arrived for customer support regarding registration date ๐Ÿ‘ Thank you for your recent enquiry to Volkswagen UK, regarding the order update. Please accept my apologies for the delay in my response.Following our recent telephone conversation, I can confirm that the SMMT code for your vehicle is not available therefore the vehicle will be registered by 22 February 2019.If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on the number below. Thank you for contacting Volkswagen UK.Kind regards
  13. True! Last time I had to wait more than 6 Months for a Skoda VRS the dealers handed out ยฃ250 M&S vouchers as compensation. Be interesting if any of us that have been waiting since June 2018 or before get anything this time!
