  1. Window rubbers are a constant source of issue on my polo, plenty of dressings make them look great but none last longer than about 4 weeks, so I've currently given up with them. I've got a bottle of solution finish and only recently saw it being used on rubber, looks quite good! Might give that a whirl on the polo otherwise the golf is getting the treatment as soon as I know when its arriving. Nice to know PNS is an option, never thought of that. Will add it to the list as another option
  2. Looks just like a normal golf to me, different bumper and non-led headlights Completely agree on the driver though, needs locking up for longer
  3. After 2 weeks of waiting I've finally gotten an order number that I can use to track on VWs system Showing as "with the factory" at the moment. Anyone know how long it sits like this until it gives me a build week?
  4. 100% this What absolutely gets my goat is people that do 40 in a de-restricted single track, come to a village, I rightly slow down to 30, but they trundle through still at 40 When it comes to going back to 60, they've opened up a gap that makes it very hard to get them on the accelerate out, unless you speed through the village at 40 too, winds me up so much!
  5. yeah or double up and use a magic eraser with that soap, definitely won't destroy the top leather coating....
  6. Dr leather wipes are by far the best leather cleaner I've tried Don't be put off by them being wipes, you can buy Dr leather cleaner in a bottle but the wipes are very convenient and perform great
  7. thanks, yeah I'm just gagging to get a build date and then get stuck in! Thanks, yeah I really can't wait, on the test drive it felt like I was strapped into a rocketship, and I barely opened the taps up either!
  8. Ah perfect, yeah you shouldn't need anything else other than that. You've also picked arguably the best consumer level ceramic kit you can buy without stepping up to the realm of pro only products
  9. Fingers crossed! As long as yours is washed correctly between now and when you coat it, there should be next to no paint defects. The machine polish is there to cleanse the paint, so all you need is a finishing polish. Do you have any to use or are starting fresh? Always remember to decontaminate before polishing, and then panel wipe after to remove any residual oils before applying the ceramic What ceramic are you looking at?
  10. Hi there, just thought I'd join here as on Monday just gone I put my order in for a new Golf R at VW Scunthorpe Ordered a completely stock hatch in solid white, with just gloss black wing mirrors as the only option. The standard level of kit was amazing and I didn't feel the need to add anything else Got a cracking deal from them after playing them against Lincoln and Doncaster Currently running a Polo Gti (which i love, pic attached), but couldn't resist the opportunity for a very significant upgrade. I can't see past white as a colour now as when they look clean they look amazing. Awaiting a build date, but was quoted 12 weeks. Hopefully the garage pulls through with getting me an earlier slot, as they said they would try Told the garage to not touch the car and I'll prep as a I always do. Wheels off & ceramic coated, as well as glass & trim treatments too Detailing is one of my biggest hobbies and I have quite a bit of experience other the years so hopefully I can assist other members here in that area
