  1. So I'm running stage 1 ecu and tcu map from mountune and a res delete, but exhaust tip are original and beginning to be more and more difficult to be polished. I'd like to give the R a little more size and nicer looks with standard bumpers and diffuser. What would you recommend in terms of looks, not looking for loud exhaust, its already loud enough 😉
  2. launch control in my stage 1 conditions wet, running 19" 235/35/19 michelin pilot alpin tyres https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOxUVAN4v7M 🙂
  3. Hi All Sensible suggestions, big thanks! Regarding the immobiliser, I got in touch with the CarTheftSolutionsUk since they do mobile installing of the Ghost Immobiliser, seem absolutely perfect to have a simple sequence to start the car up. As for the tracker, I do have 6 vans with Quartix system and trackers fitted to the power input and output on the ignition, could pinch one of them but would end up being live tracked doing every launch control 😄 I'll look for some options and let you guys know what I come up with! Big thanks for sharing!! 👍👍
  4. Thanks Clarkie Will Google that 👍
  5. Hi all Recently sold my Passat B7 that was on Golf R's Mk6 Telladega 19" alloys, great wheels. Had 2 sets of them, one with summer tyres, one with winters. Sold the Passat now, during winter run the Golf with Telladega alloys 8J ET41 with 235 35 19 Michelin Pilot Alpin tyres. With the alloys width and offset, these 19" sat nicer on the golf than the Cadiz 18" that I got with the car. I would prefer to stay with 18s with 225 40 tyres, little more cusioning, little more grip. Currently Cadiz alloys are with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres. Winter is over now, so will be selling the Telladegas with winter tyres, would like to get another set of 18" wheels perhaps something of Pretoria look and light weight. Any suggestions? I do like the ATS's alloys for AUDIs. Going back to offset on Telladegas and Cadiz alloys. Telladegas where 8J width ET41, Cadiz are 7,5J ET49 If I'm correct, Telladegas in comparison to Cadiz's where sticking out more by 12mm. Would you suggest a wheel spacer to bring the Cadiz alloys out a little? Another thing I got to do this weekend was to sort out the leaking Windscreen Washer. As soon as I topped up the washer, half of it was gone on the floor from behind the passenger side headlamp, got the bumper off, found the Headlamp Washer plug off and damaged, wouldn't stay plugged in either, I used 2 cable ties to hold the plug in the Male Coupling of the Washer as I couldn't tell if this part alone, just the plug at that end was replaceable or if I'd require larger part? Fixed for now 🤞 At last! Has anyone had a leaking rear door speakers problem?? Every so often, particularly after the heavy rain I find a wet patch on the door sill, right under the door card. I found a vid on YT showing same issue, there this guy finds the issue from a leaking door speaker housing 🤔 Never seen that on previous older VWs!! Anyone experienced that issue, fixed the issue?? At last, here just to share what 2 of my VWs next to each other on same wheels 😉 Thanks Raf
  6. Hi All Gone to a lazy way of finding some suggestions and just post here 😏 I'm looking for a good tracker device to be installed and an additional immobiliser. Tracker wise I'd prefer any one off payment with installation with no subscription fees etc. I'd rather pay for the window than having to go through the insurance struggles with the theft. Any suggestions would be great, particularly if you had one yourself and recommend. Thanks in advance
  7. The Cadiz alloys are the summer set up with michelin pilot sport 4 for the Golf, and I think that extra cussion on 18" add to the launch grip 🤤 The 19" Tallys are my winter set on Golf now and I'm planning to keep these, Passat however is fitted with same 19" Tallys with summer P Zeros. Me being me, I couldn't help but to have 2 set of Tallys for winters on Passat, now Passat is going for sale, it'll add to the interest I hope 😉 Both sets of Tallys are genuine, I can't stand fake styled alloys 😁 As we're on alloys topic, I looked for 19" Pretorias but heard they're quite weak?? Personally I'd prefer Pretorias as my summer set up and Cadiz as winters, what do you think?? Regarding lowering, I don't think I'll be doing anything, I do like the current set and feel, surprisingly good road feel and cornering! Definitely wouldn't go as low as I once went with the Passat I'll have to set up a new topic to share the history of Mods on Passat as its quite lengthy 😉
  8. Thanks booth11 I can see the moderetors made uploading photos super easy. Great Work!! Well, here goes the first 2 photos BEFORE and AFTER And both wagons next to each other
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone 🙂 Actually looks good, I have forgotten to compare the offset as the Telladegas seem to poke out ever so slightly more than the Cadiz alloys. IMO they looked bit better on the Passat as it's been lowered and has plenty more of chrome trims so it works with the silver alloy, on the Golf however they seem to stand out more, by the way Golf is in black with only chrome trim the known front grille single chrome line that runs through the headlights. Funny enough, currently Golf is parked next to Passat, both on Telladegas (yes, I have 2 sets of these, one set with winters and one with summers) Once I get to know how to best post photos here I'll what they both look like, I've read the post regarding uploading photos but haven't got to try it yet, and if any of you could kindly let me know your preferred easiest way of uploading, let me know 👍 I must admit, it'll be an interesting ownership as I was into a lot of mods in Passat. I'll share some photos of before and after of the Passat in the General section. Again big thanks for the warm welcome! 👍👍👍
  10. Hi All My name's Rafal As former active member of UK Passat forum, I'm looking forward to ideas, sharing in mods, open for questions and any help! My Golf R is the 14 plate mk7 5 door hatchback, DSG, stage 1 ECU and TCU by Mountune. As first mods, just changed the reversing bulbs to leds, and all wheels changed to my 19" Telladega alloys from Golf R mk6 with winter Michelin alpine sport tyres. Some photos will follow perhaps of Passat and now the Golf Thanks Raf
