That happens when the key moves and try’s to communicate with the car. It goes when the keys stationary for a time, not sure how long. Lights coming on is due to the key being close to the car. It’s a good feature but annoying when you forget your key is in your pocket and it’s going off constantly!

I have that too. Quite often to be fair. Annoying and dangerous. Will start straight away but then nothing. If I lift off the accelerator then press again it’ll drive off. Hoping the coding is cracked soon. If anything my recognition of German coding terminology is improving!

DRL’s should just be a straight line where the headlight meets the bonnet. The strip light only comes on when headlights are on. Have you checked the settings on the light console to the right of the steering wheel? Might be the headlights are turned on or if set to auto, the tolerance for the headlights to switch on is set low. Not sure if or how you can adjust the tolerance

No longer getting Media Streaming unavailable but now get this one. Clears as soon as you touch it rather than delete. Have set up my phone as a hotspot but for some reason I have to connect it at each start up which isn’t annoying. Is this a case of RTFM or another gremlin? Im also not getting the option to set steering wheel temp on automatic start following 1890 update. Wonder if they missed that update 🤷‍♂️

There is, version 1890. It’s a garage visit though. Mine was in overnight for it. Should address KPH issue and ACC issues. So far no KPH shown on mine but yet to try ACC.

Yeah, even though I can now stream music! Couldn’t for a while until the iOS update.

I’ve not had any OTA updates through. There was an issue with media streaming when iOS was updated to 15. (I’m using Amazon Music) iOS was updated and I was able to stream again but still get this notification on each start up which annoys the hell out of me! Ive deleted the Cubic account as well. I was foolish enough to think the iOS update would solve it but think its another one for VW’s rogue promises list!

Have noticed there is a one click app available on obd for high beam memory so hopefully be able to work out the long coding for it at some point.

Re switching back after increasing it might be reacting to passed signs or sat nav data. Or because it’s Tuesday! I’ve found that with this off it doesn’t react to the speed limits passed/sat nav data. In Assist menu tap three lines top left of screen. Then ACC. Then toggle speed limit preview off.

Have you got the speed limit preview setting switched on? Could account for it reverting to the limit (mph or kph!)

What type of battery are they?

Re heated steering wheel/seat coming on every start up. Might be that it’s turned on to do so. On climate screen press the cog in the top right corner then turn steering wheel setting off. Mine comes on when temp is 11 or below. If it’s not that, yet another gremlin to add to the list!

I was told that a further KPH nav update is due soon when mine was in last week for its software update - 1788 to 1803

Not sure if it’s the correct way or a buckshee one but checking the headlight settings in vehicle settings works when I’ve used it. If I know I’ll be likely to use it then I check this on start up. Worked so far for me. Tap Driving on the Right first then Driving on the Left. Not ideal but better than the anchors being slammed on whilst approaching a lorry.

Picked the car back up today after being with the local vw garage for a day and a bit for software updates. Mine was delivered back in May and came with 1788 software. No major issues as thankfully the help and advice on here meant I could knock the settings off that brought some issues but obviously meant that not everything was working as it should be. Had a main software update which brought it up to 1803 Will need a few days to see if there’s much change. Was told that there has been a few other updates uploaded. One of which to address the KPH issue but there is another update for this expected in the next couple of weeks so to phone back up to see if it’s been released to get it uploaded if needed.

I’ve been having that and unable to stream media. Streaming is Amazon Music / iOS 15 update issue though. Mine is booked in on Monday for an update so see what that brings / fixes.

Next one from me. Thankfully most of my questions have been answered prior to posting but don’t think I’ve seen this posted yet? I used the free data trial and now it’s expired I keep getting the below on every start up I tried turning the ESim off but then get the next one… Apart from buying a new data plan, just pressing delete to the message each start up or ignoring it, is there a way to get rid of this? (Ignoring it isn’t an option really!) Don’t recall having this issue before the free trial. Thanks, Roni

I’ve had my alarm go off randomly in the past and unlocking the car has resolved it. It went off over the weekend, parked out front with nothing near it. Unlocked the car, alarm still going. Turned the ignition on, alarm still going. Started driving, yep, alarm still going. It turned off as I drove a bit further and hasn’t done it since thankfully. Anyone else had this? Thoughts on it being just a quirk or worth a trip to the garage? Aside from its other software foibles the car has been faultless fortunately. Thanks
