Update to the car. Decided on a set of new wheels & tyres! Fitted this morning 😊

Hey Holly no worries. Yeah i done mine a few weeks ago. Used the EZ mods vinyl strip and fitting kit they provide as extra (scalpal, plastic card). It took a wee while to get tucked in the edges and a few attempts and peeling off/on but turned out pretty good. Needed a hairdryer on it to mould round the corner a bit.... I'll send some photos in a minute 👍

I got my Mk7 R late last year and called her Roxanne.... or if she's treating me particularly well sometimes it's Roxy! 😆

Thanks. Yeah likewise the silver/chrome just looks out of sync for me. Not that it looks bad, i mean it still looks good, anything looks good on the R really. Already had some feedback on how VW go to an effort to add the chrome onto the R to distinguish it from others, so why remove it. And i kind of get that opinion, fair comment! 😆 Still weighing up alloys. Tend to agree now, straight up black merges too much. Looking at either black with a hint of mirror/silver line to it, or possibly a dark grey/ gunmetal/ titanium look. I'll keep you all posted thanks 👍😊

You're so right by the way. New alloys were on my 'to-do' list, but sometime down the road. But now the wing mirrors are on alloys are top of the list. I think a new set of black alloys would look sweet 👍 😃 Thanks everyone

Thanks very much. Tbh the window deflectors are more practical than for looks - if i open the window on a sunny morning after overnight rain, and there's water on the roof, it floods down the inside of the door 💧 🤣
