I was looking at upgrading the sound system in my MK7 1.6TDI Golf (easy now ) and the Google Machine brought me to this thread. I was looking at purchasing the Helix system off eBay in Germany, but I'm curious if this is a runner in my model, as I know that most people on here are adding it to their Golf R's. I gave them my VIN and they told me that it will be setup correctly but having read through the thread, I feel it's best to get a dongle myself and make sure that it's definitely setup correctly. Has anyone ordered from here and if so, was it correctly setup or did you need to get the dongle? As I recall the dongle does not show what it is set to, you simply apply the correct one. However, those that I have lent the dongle to have fed back a significant improvement after programming. I still have the dongle, so if you would like to use it, simply drop me a message (albeit, if you have a low post count you might not be able to send message, so you can leave your email address on here until I pick it up). Big shoutout to GE90 for sending the dongle to me, which was way more hassle for him than it needed to be. Thanks again! Whilst reading the very comprehensive review of the Helix over at Stealth GTI, he mentions leaving the jumper out of the DSP unit if you are driving a left-hand drive Golf.
