FishingVWR
I know there is a dead spot in the first section of pedal, however does anyone else's DSG feel a bit "grabby" when town driving? Feels like nothing nothing nothing (dead spot?) then it "grabs", which to me feels like the clutche(s) engaging. This seems to happen mainly in 1/2nd gear. I find I have to really feather the pedal to be smooth in slowish moving traffic. Gear changes feel healthy otherwise, upshifts in sport can feel a little aggressive through the seat but I'm not sure that's an issue. BobbyT
Do you OBD11 or VCDS? Sometimes a DSG re-set can really help with the feel of the box.

I don't unfortunately, but it did also cross my mind when searching for similar threads.
Sequence
They can be, I wouldn't be concerned. You should try the rs3 box or the bmw M DCT for grabby 😆
Deano
I assume 6 speed? They sorted this on the 7 speed by slipping the clutch. A lot of people actually prefer the grabby 6 speed.
momo123
Don't know what mileage your r is but try require a dsg service at 30k so might need that.
gregozedobe
My Mk7.5 R (DQ381 7 speed DSG) is usually very smooth in D or M, but in S mode the higher idle speed seems to drive it forwards a lot more (almost like a conventional auto creeping).
