been out this morning unplugged pedal box no issues at all plugged back in half way round still all good so unsure why it happened obd11 gave no errors also switched modes eco race ect all good Its a 2015 manual with just shy of 40k never had an issue with it since buying in 2016 apart from thermostat under warranty and the wing mirror glass dropping out like most of us get Going to just keep an eye on it but hopfuly it was just having a funny episode When it was happened the revs was sitting around 1200 1300 on tick over

me and you both mate im going to fully disconnect it tomorrow and see what happens but i dont think its the pedal box

spent day at castle combe today great day feel sorry for lad that spanked his Golf clubsport near end of day some very nice motors about wish i booked on the stand but missed the cut off but will keep a close eye next time and defo be on the VWROC stand if you will have me any how have an issue with the R on way home it idles at 1200/1500 on tick over and when driving if i let off the acceleration it dose not slow down and keeps the same speed likes its on cruse control (its not) i do have a pedal box so turned this off but same happens i have read some obd11 codes and will put them on here no error light come up an cycling the ignition made no difference anyone able to chuck any ideas on what could be the issue thanks Baz

Anyone using a hatch pop kit? the wife ordered one just before xmas from alex @ vw retrofit i fitted it a few days later but over the last few weeks its not fully kicking the boot open it will pop it a fraction and then i need to push the badge for it to release if i try again after it works each and every time its always the first attempt after it been sat say overnight should the springs be in a set area top or bottom i have tried both ways but believe they should be at the top? i will try grab a video in the next day or so

i didnt prime mine as heat proof paint i used said it didnt need it and tbh its been fine so far

i love messing about with plastic dip i used it on an old 2004 mini to de chrome and looked good silver with the matt black plastic dip did you do them matt black of glossafy them as well

did mine over 2 years ago in gloss black and they are still good a few stone chips but on the underneath in the summer they looked a little dull so i machine polished them up come out like the day i put them on apart from the few stone chips as already said prep is the key i sanded mine back to a dull and used some halfords heat gloss black paint

sorry to hijack the thread i fitted the sub myself and found it straight forward looking at doing the camera soon is this just as easy? also am i right in saying there is more than 1 camera option? what one do you recommend? i had the mib2.5 with 9.2" screen fitted in the summer by Alex if that makes a difference thanks

when i had my ghost installed chatting to the installer and he changed mine to work opposite to factory setup so its off when engine is started but if i decide (never) a push of the button turns it back on i didn't think its a feature of the ghost and didn't ask how he did it tbh but happy with the way it works

the stone chip got the better of me and re wrapped them yesterday goodbye little spec of chrome lol

Had a feeling its a complete grill May search eBay for a 2nd hand one cheap Tbh I still need to strip it regardless what way I go so may just do that one evening when the winter kicks in The ezy wraps are a pain as it's so tight I had issues using that kit on the lower chrome just never went on right so taking it off and wrapping I find gives a better result I also looked at that grill not sure on it tbh tho need to see in the flesh I think The lower chrome that I wrapped is still spot on just the top grill that's chipped stands out I may even spray it Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

I wrapped my chrome bars on my front upper grill last year in gloss Black noticed today 1 of them has chipped away looks like a stone chip thinking ahead is it possiable to buy just them 2 chrome bars I can then wrap them and swap them out and redo the old ones and keep as spares anyone know the part number for them Have a feeling vw sell it as a whole grill Thanks Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

Yes defo, delivery had a few issues but that was down to TNT and not CM themselves

its been like it since i got the R and have lived with it just one of them things it more noticeable in the right angle and sun i tried hand polish and also using the DA not sure what i tried but it wasn't a special glass one thats for sure i may give the Cerium Oxide a try you never know i maybe lucky any recommendation on pad to go with it
