No ceramic coating, just ex-p and two coats of wax. It’s a really deep red. I am just over 1500 miles now. Personally don’t think the car feels any quicker in a straight line and seems to be most punchy in the mid rev range. Cornering it feels totally different. So planted and loads of grip. Took it for a run over the campsies in Glasgow and was so much fun. Hard to compare the two cars. Both have there strengths and weaknesses but I’m not regretting the change so far even thought it was hard saying goodbye to the R. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The denim blue is lovely rob, was between that and the red for me when I ordered. I had a feeling the denim blue would have been the popular choice for the A35 but the yellow seems to have taken that mantle. Went for the red in the end. How are you finding the car compared to the R? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Totally agree, that combo will be a staple in my routine from now on. Can't fault the new products. Will be looking to add some more over the next few weeks prior to the big pre winter wash. Just got to decide what DA and polishes to purchase now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

NB really comes to life when the sun is out. Also find the Cadis wheels look really good when the suns out also. I know they are a marmite wheel but the way the sun catches them when they are clean makes them look awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Today the R got some much needed attention after 2 months of detailing neglect. Usual routine with addition of pre wash after snow foam. Must say I am impressed with how much cleaner the car looked before going onto the 2 bucket wash. The weather held out and managed to apply some purple haze pro as well [emoji2] A couple of new products used in place of old as well. Dodo juice born to be mild in place of autoglym shampoo. Really happy with how much more lubricated the mitt wash was using the dodo juice, just seemed to glide so much more with very little friction. Also billbery wheel cleaner in place of autoglym clean wheels. Can't say I noticed much difference but the smell is awesome! It was overcast all morning which in all honesty I prefer when carrying out the wash as you don't need to rush round drying the car trying to avoid water spots. (A raceglaze filter is on my wish list) The sun then decided to make an appearance and out popped the flakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rain held of today so managed to get the R nice and clean again [emoji41] Usual snow foam, wheels, two bucket wash, exhausts, tyres then topped up the purple haze pro. Sun disappeared just in time for the photos [emoji31] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The petrol pump is earthed, so when you are filling up your are also earthed eliminating the risk of static. The engine is outside of the hazardous area classification and is a safe area. Obviously if there was a massive vapor cloud that had gone undetected and someone started there engine then this would indeed cause and explosion.
-
Hazardous areas (where a gas/vapour) may be present are divided into zones. Zone 0 where gas/vapour is continually present, I.e inside the storage tank. Zone 1 is where a flammable atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation, I.e the area from the pump to the fuel cap and the area below. And. Zone 2 where a flammable atmosphere is not likely to occur and if it does will be for short periods. The area in which we would be concerned for this conversation would fall into zone 1 (when your phone is in your pocket/up to fuel cap height and zone 2 when you have it at your ear while filling up. Both areas where if for whatever reason gas/vapour is present due to a failing in storage tank or hose could result in an explosion with the right gas air mixture. I believe this is between 1-8%. Some gasses only need as little as micro joules to ignite them when the vapour is between the lower and upper explosive limits. Hence why as a precaution you are asked to leave your phone in your vehicle to eliminate the source of energy need to ignite a vapour should it be present. I could walk about with my phone in my pocket offshore and it wouldn't cause any problem as the hydrocarbons are contained. The minute the containment fails then it's a totally different story as would be the case in a petrol station if all the conditions where right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Are all you guy's who have had the option to by at the end of your lease going through VWFS or is anyone with the likes of NFS/ALPHABET or the likes?

So two different people(surely not the same person!) from the same company saying different things I think i will have to contact once again as i would hate for anything to happen and my insurance be void

I thought that myself and proceeded to insure the car with me as registered keeper. Started having doubts the other day and emailed them to get this reply. I'd ask for it in writing if you don't already have it just in case it could affect a claim. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can tuck the straps out of the way and they fit nicely and contour the seats as well. They look smart and easier to clean than getting the mud of the back of the seats. Looks stunning mate. Must be really chuffed with it. Where did you get your covers for the backs of the front seats. Need something like that for mine as the wee man has already managed to get his mucky foot print on the back of mine bless him [emoji37] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cheers, was hard work but definitely worth it. All products bought from research on this forum so hats off to everyone for there advice. Really happy with the way it's turned out. Do you machine wash your drying towels or just let them dry off? Also same question for wash mits? My wheel wooly is pretty dirty after the wash today and was wondering if I could fling it in a cold spin in the machine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First detail carried out on the car today, started with rinse then snow foam with valet pro Then a two bucket wash & dried followed by iron x, After a rinse and dry then applied tardis. Another rinse, more foam, two bucket wash & dried No need for polish. Paintwork was near perfect so onto protection. Firstly poor boys ex-p came up really good after that. Next was dodo juice purple haze pro was starting to get dark so quick tyre dressing wheels sealed and some mother mags on the exhaust. Not to bad for my first ever detail. My car was in the country on the 28th. I phoned them on Monday to see what was going on, no mention of any delays or problems and I had my reg number within the hour and I'm getting it a week today. Sounds like a bulls##t excuse to me tbh!!
