Just to let everyone know in the UK should you be successful in making a claim for compensation for a OEM VW 19” diamond cut Estoril alloy you will be asked to sign a NDA. I can't for the life of me remember who told me this.

I just got the VW ones. I guess if these ones disappear I'll try the R ones next time.

The original ones that came on the car, the replacements are called dynamic hub caps (the ones that spin) and look nice and shiny let's hope they don't attract the Magpies.

Thank you, I'm not absolutely sure if it was in London or Brighton. I was away for a week and when we got back drove to Brighton, as it was dark I didn't look at the wheels and it was only the next day I noticed them missing so unsure.

Not a gremlin but I got an email from VW informing me that the alarm had detected activity in the interior of the car. The good news was that the car was all ok and all I found was a ladybird sitting on the dashboard.

Yes I've had this from almost new, now on 11500 miles. When I had it serviced they couldn't find any problems apart from some scoring on one of the disks. As I live in Central London and spend a fair time driving at 20mph my first thought was I had glazed them and like you tried some sharp breaking but it always come back so I just live with it. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I had to change mine a couple of weeks ago and like you am less than impressed with the lifespan.

Like you probably tempting fate, I'm on 11000 miles since January and trouble free so far.

We probably both got away lightly, it was hard to tell what colour some cars were that had parked next to the tractor routes

A fair number of 8.5 Golf R’s in the Goodwood FOC car park today.

Just got passed by a black Mk 8 Golf R on the A23/M23 and it had one option that no one on here has........lots of discreet blue flashing lights.

Last week on the M23/A23 going to Brighton a group of 15 to 20 hot hatches were causing mayhem overtaking, undertaking at excessive speed, and yes 2 of them were Golf R's.

I agree and also felt there was an improvement.
