  1. Certainly worth getting the alignment checked again imo. Find someone with Hunter 4 wheel alignment if you can. Could be that somethings also been damaged/worn by the pot hole so some investigation work underneath required. Check right across the tyres also to make sure there's no uneven wear. Like above - splitter not required, especially as you said it didn't do it when you collected (and it won't help anyway!). Road surfaces and cambers play a huge part in grip levels as well so maybe collect more data on different surfaces. Commonly noted that Haldex oil service and filter clean should be carried out more regularly than VW state in their service schedule, the filters are prone for getting clogged, pumps can get damaged and costs spiral. I do mine yearly with the car service (12k a year). Expect around £100 for a specialist but always ensure the filter is removed and cleaned! Could always test the effectiveness of the Haldex with a little launch...... 🚙💨
  2. I went for the resonated Milltek system (2 resonators and back boxes) with my 200 cell BCS downpipe and found it too subdued. Did create a nice tone though, kinda 5 cylinder Volvo if you're old enough to remember them! Managed to pick up an almost new rear resonator delete pipe off an Audi owner on Ebay for £65 (it's a modular system so as long as the part numbers match up you're good to go) which unleashed some extra noise but still don't know whether it's enough, might end up swapping out the front resonator as well yet!?! Picked the exhaust up from Awesome during a Black Friday event last year for around £1200. I believe there was some Remus valved systems kicking about a little while back ~£2500 iirc, CLP had some for sure.
  3. I run Ramair induction kit and turbo muffler delete at stage 2 and the flutter is immense, definitely don't go dump valve route stick to oem as this can cause issue iirc. There are rumours of Forge turbo muffler deletes being sold on Aliexpress for about £12 , can't find a link on this PC but search turbo muffler delete ea888 or something similar on Aliexpress and you'll find them. Loads of reviews from satisfied customers and at £17 delivered certainly worth a punt.
  4. Short answer - yes. I followed a YouTube video done on the hatch then used a kit off of eBay in the pic. No link unfortunately as they no longer sell it but if you've done it before I'm sure you'll have a kit in mind anyway. Always hated my rear wiper, the offset look of it and the half moon clean patch on the screen did nothing for my OCD so was destined to go.
  5. It was carried out October 2019 and still looks as fresh today as it did then. Perhaps I don't wash it enough to scrutinise every inch but there's no sign of any lifting edges and what not that I've noticed. The chrome didn't really do it for me, almost removed the roof rails completely! Here's a couple of other pics taken earlier this year.....
  6. Had mine wrapped as part of a de-chroming package deal with the grill and bumper. It was done whilst my car was in for paint correction work at DDB Detailing in North Shields, I don't know the company they used but it was £150 for the total wrapping job.
  7. If it's going to spend more of its life off than on road and if you really want a Golf Estate I'd be looking at the Alltrak. Rarer than most other Golfs and should stand up better to the chance of a boulder or two. The plastic sump is easily swapped out for the metal one from a Tiguan iirc.
  8. I'm going to assume that the MK7 and MK7.5 are the same size so there must be something amiss somewhere. Mine went into my 2016 R estate without any drama although I did almost fit it back to front....... Just had a look at your pics again and I'm going to suggest that if the top bar was an inch or 2 higher it'd all fit together perfectly. This leads me to think that your top bar end brackets are back to front, or upside down, or whatever makes them an inch or 2 higher if you hopefully know what I mean?!
  9. If only there was a Black Friday sale coming up, I'll merrily take 1 of your finest wrapped downpipes and res delete for my 2016 R estate Nige. 😍
  10. Long time lurker but new member popping in to say hello.............hello! My current steed is a MK7 2016 R estate and I've loved every minute of ownership this past year. I should really take more pics of it so I'll try and do that for future posts etc. Lasted about a fortnight stock then APR stage 1 with TT intake pipe, Ramair panel filter and VWR TMD to help things along. Recently obliterated my chrome inc. roof bars and I've fallen in love all over again. Looking at taking it to stage 2 in the not too distant future and if I can find the right Black Friday deals that'll certainly help! Anyhow, that's me in a nut shell, pleased to be a part of VWROC and long may my voyage for more power continue.....
