Hello @MonkeyP My R estate in white was also stolen yesterday at 4pm while I stood next to it in broad daylight in Shropshire in front of my 2 young kids - I found this looking for details of a ‘Stolen’ thread. Good to hear nobody was hurt, we also got away with no injuries thankfully. Hope you get some good news, I’m not holding much hope for mine.

Had the Audi wheels refurbished, look ok but not half as good as the Pretoria’s. Should be much more resistant to pot holes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@theskivingscholar how correct you were, just scrapped another replica 19” pret (cracked, assume a pothole), now going for a set of 18” Audi A8, apparently monoblocks… can’t see many examples though! fed up of buckling / cracking on the 19” so looking to get something that can put up with our terrible roads.. just wished I’d have gone 18” earlier will post pics when they’re on 👍

Update with the JB4. Was running it with connected for a few weeks without issues. Then for some reason I was experiencing some boost issues, I’d lose the boost gauge completely and my gear changes were awful. Couldn’t work out what it was until I realised I was running old firmware. Popped on the latest version (60/88//5) and now running great. Hopefully this will help someone with the same issues in future! Thanks for the guidance George, when I’ve got the OBD plugged in I’ll be keen to get some feedback on the logs CheeRs!

Quick update: the company recommended were unable to offer the towbar now.. tried a few times with links to the forum but had no joy. In the end I’ve opted for the roof rack to carry bikes with (Thule) and so far all good. Picked up all the bike racks second hand but got new roof rails, total cost around £420 so was pretty happy. Some wind noise but very easy to install/remove as required. Hope this helps someone in future. CheeRs

How did the bumper line up after fitting? A little worried it will never fit the same after removal!!

I did think that…. The replicas by all accounts are a much sturdier wheel.. I was looking at all options - VW Spielbergs / TCR style and also Romacs.. I was lured in by the standard VW look!

Managed to write off 2 Pretoria’s recently hitting a pothole, gutted to say the least… Popped these on from my brothers cupra to get me by until I get new wheels thought I’d share - look better than expected! Hello, Yes I did look for answers prior to posting but nothing recent came up with any names of fitters, I know it’s been done just need to guidance to where could offer it.. I know it ends up with cutting the diffuser which is fine as long as it’s neat cheeRs

Hello all, Does anyone have any recent experience of getting a towbar (for cycle carrying) fitted to their mk7.5 R? Not keen on using the roof rack so trying to sort the tow bar!! Thanks in advance.

Enjoyed reading about the story of your R! Also drive a white estate and it’s nice to see your having a (generally) good experience! do you find much difference with the A/C is on with your mpg? Clocking about a 10% difference if it’s on, seems like a lot….! Are you liking the PS4’s?
