DCC adaptation not working

Hi, had the golf r up on jack stands today for some underbody repairs and thought I'd try the dcc calibration while it was hanging there.

I followed a couple of guides online, checked values in adaptations, came out entered the security code etc,

but no matter what I do when I hit the green tick in basic settings for "adapting with deflected wheels" it says "incorrect sequence"

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or how to fix?

I can’t help but am interested in following

is it a mk7 or mk8 ?

It's a 7, I think I need to check the level sensors when it's up to see that they are in the right parameters for it to work. I'll try again tomorrow and update.

Sorry for the late response, but I compiled an updated guide (based on info online and personal experience) to help with the DCC adaption basic setting.

Instructions for performing a basic setting on adaptive dampers (DCC) using OBDEleven

1. You MUST make sure the wheels of the car are fully off the ground before recalibrating. The wheels must sag fully to successfully calibrate. DO NOT PERFORM THE CALIBRATION IF ERRORS ARE PRESENT ON SUSPENSION OR WITHOUT THE WHEELS FULLY SAGGING!

2. Also, you may need a login code to perform this function which can be car-specific. Please refer to this OBDEleven article for directions on how to get this: https://support.obdeleven.com/en/articles/5608799-security-access

3. After the car is on the lift/stands and you have the login code for the control module, do the following:

  - Enter Control Module 14 - Adaptive Suspension.
  - Go to "Adaptions".
  - Select "Adapting with deflected wheels".
  - Take note of the values (to know if the basic setting function works).
  - Go back to the "Adaptions" menu.
  - Go to "Basic Settings".
  - Select "Adapting with deflected wheels".
  - With the car in the air, start the calibration (it won't take long).
  - Enter the security code (from step 2) to continue.
  - Basic Setting should complete successfully.
  - Go back to the values screen to compare the values.
  - If the values are different to before, you are done.
  - If this doesn't work, you may need to approach a VW specialist.

Hi thanks for this, I've just purchased 2 new oe front level sensors as I was getting an error now and again after going over humps or roundabouts that let the front suspension fully extend. The sensors on there now aren't vw ones there ebay copies.

I'll try and fit them next week and follow your guide once I've done it, see if that works.
