  1. Yes I had it done on my my 2026 Mk7 R. The burbles were great and the exhaust had a much deep tone as well. Paul knows his stuff but he has a long waiting list.
  2. Hi Don in OBD11 under long coding for 17 - Dashboard I only have the option of either 'yes' or 'no' for spoiler so there was no need for selecting a bit or byte thankfully which made my life a little easier. Under 09 - central electronics I selected not installed These settings seems to have worked perfectly and I have no error codes on the cars dash after disconnecting the electric spoiler motor. I re -scanned after this and have no error codes there either so I assume everything went well Thanks for all you help
  3. @dv52 Thanks for the prompt reply as always. I'll be using OBD11 Pro. I've done a little more research and I think there won't be a requirement for any "Bit' or 'Byte' coding. From what I can tell now, between your initial reply and a little more playing with the OBD11 App I just need to select the either the yes or no option available to me under 'spoiler'
  4. Hi @dv52 So after waiting many, many months(it feels like years!) the paintwork for the spoiler has finally been finished (don't ask why its taken so long 🥴) and I'm ready to install it this weekend. I'm not only nervous about the actual fitting of the spoiler but I'm super nervous about the coding I need to do. Although I've ventured into the Adaptions menu for my old Golf R to change some if the brake settings, I've never undertaken any 'Bit or`Byte" modifications on any of my cars and am not 100% sure how to start. Would you be able to give me a rough idiots guide on how to get started please? Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers Steve.
  5. OK, that's a shame. I guess they are different sizes? Based on what you know, why do you think changing just the centre speaker makes such a difference? I'm assuming there's no reason why a similar Hertz or Audison of the size required for the TT wouldn't also make such a big difference.
  6. Would this be compatible in a Mk3 TT with a B&O system?
  7. I have a set of professionally painted metallic blue blanking plates with a silver R logo if anyone is interested. If anyone is let me know and I will list them in the classified section.
  8. Hi Don You are an absolute STAR! I knew you would be able to offer some advice. Thank You!!!!!!
  9. Thanks. Took me over a year to find a Vorsprung in the colour I wanted.
  10. I have just purchased a 2022 Mk3 Audi TTRS to replace the Golf R. It was almost the perfect car but the original owner specced the car with an electric rear spoiler rather than the fixed spoiler. I have managed to find a used but complete OE Audi fixed spoiler from a similar specced car that I intend to fit to my new car. The electric spoiler is attached to a large metal base which is a slightly different metal base to the fixed spoiler so that metal base can be attached to the bodywork for extra strength. As such, I need to disconnect the spoiler motor and its' metal base to swap in the fixed spoiler metal base. If I simply disconnect the spoiler motor an error code will appear on the dash and the ESP will be permanently engaged. There is an option in OBD11 (Control Units, 09 Central Electrics, Adaptation, Allwetterlicht Spoiler, TT Spoiler and then change the option from Elektrischer Spoiler To Feststehender Spoiler) to change the coding from electronic spoiler to fixed spoiler which stops the electric spoiler from being operated / deployed, but I am getting differing advice as to whether an error code will still be generated when the spoiler motor is disconnected. A member of the TT Forum has stated the following coding stopped any error being displayed when he disconnected his spoiler motor on both his and another members car. The first part in 9 - Central Electric seems straight forward but know one can seem to find anything relating to the rear spoiler (the 2nd part) in 17 - Dashboard. The OP sates the following; "Hey Guys to upload everyone about the spoiler thing from electric to fix So We spent about 3h with Stanly and finally fixed it So for everyone going on a fix spoiler: UNPLUG THE ELECTRICAL SPOILER ONLY AFTER HAVING THE SPOILER INSIDE (NOT EXTENDED) AND AFTER CODING THIS 2 MODULES WITH ODB ELEVEN PRO: 9 central electric: long coding find spoiler and code it (there is 4 possible options) as UNMOUNT 17 DASHBOARD: adaptation or long coding don't remember now find spoiler (2possible options YES or NO): NO Go back in 9 central election electric live data find spoiler and verify that spoiler status is: spoiler not mounted Then turn off engine, turn on engine verify that when pressing the spoiler button nothing happen" Turn off again the car and now you can unplug the spoiler Any coding gurus on here that have any ideas / knowledge of this or suggestions on where / how I can find the required coding in 17 - Dashboard?
  11. When did the new cookie requirements get implemented for this site? I absolutely hate websites that have this pro forma of cookie requirements as it takes absolutely ages to opt out of all of the 'vendor cookies' as there is no option to 'reject all" I hate them so much that whenever I come across a website that uses this cookie process / regime, I just scroll on by unless I am desperate for its content. In these cases I have to delete all the cookies in my browser as soon as I'm done with the website which is what I am going to have to do after writing this!!!! I haven't commented on much on here recently but if I have to use these cookie requirements going forward there's little chance I'll even log on going forward!
  12. Hope for mine yet then 2016, 3 door un-molested and just 30000 miles.😁
  13. Mine is a 2016 3 door. What sort of prices have you been given for yours?
  14. You're just down the road. SM5 postcode for me. I've had the car for 9 years and never had any issues with anyone trying to take it.
  15. Yes I did but the software upgrade stopped the ability of manually setting album artwork to saved radio stations. I managed to solve that issue I the end but tbh all the hassle wasn't worth the stress.
  16. Even my wife wants to go to Jcs pub and farm. His series on farming really opened up his a appeal to a lot more than just car enthusiasts
  17. Yes, never has an issue with the VW Prets. OE wheels go through far more testing than any aftermarket wheels. I'm going forged next though. DCC is great and I would spec it every time. given the choice. The way I can put power down in the wet in comfort is crazy. I think if you hit a bump stop in comfort you hit in every other mode as well tbh.
  18. gotta love a clean car that looks like that!
  19. I'm currently looking for a TTRS Roadster and everyone seems to have the exact same cars listed so they are all the same in my mind these days.
  20. I was on the OEM Prets for around 2 years - No issues with the wheels. 1 x very slight buckle noticed when I had them re-furbed in bright silver that was so slight it was done for free. I then moved to Neuspeed RSe10 19 x 8 for around 3 years - No issues, no buckles but I had a love / hate relationship with the way they looked on the car so decided I needed a change. From there I went to Motec Ultralights 19 x 8.5. I curbed a wheel after around 10 months in a car park and used that as an excuse to have them done in bright silver (from the grey / silver). They looked amazing after the re-furb and between the shape of the wheel and the colour they looked like 20s! I hit a pothole 2 weeks later that buckled a wheel. Within 6 weeks 2 more were buckled so I had them straightened and decided to move them on. After that I went for Revo RF19s 19 x 8.5. Managed to buckle all 4 (1 bad and the other three slightly) in 11 months so I got them straightened and decided to move them on and move to 18's and I'd just had enough. Then I bought Neuspeed Rs11r 18 x 8.5 wheels. The ride comfort is definitely better. All wheels have been running PS4S tyres. What annoys me is that I am really quite caerfull when spotting potholes and moving around them. I had 1 x slight buckle in the 1st five or so years but in the past 2 years I've have 8 or so buckles. The roads in my area are just terrible, are getting worse and its not just the potholes. There are loads of sunken manhole covers and dips in the road that are like a pothole but almost invisible to see and the only way you know to drive round them is after you have hit them. I've been going to Germany for the past 4 years and the roads the other side of the Channel Tunnel are just amazing compared to hear. Our roads in the UK are an utter disgrace. My car has DCC and I drive permanrlty in comfort mode here in the UK. Once abroad, the setting is in race and its still smoother and more compliant than over here.
  21. I've had 4 different 19 inch wheels on my R and they all seem to buckle at the same rate on UK roads atm. I moved to 18's as I couldn't cope any more.
  22. I coded my exhaust flaps to be open all the time. Despite really liking 'race' mode, I didn't like having them open all the time so I coded it back to standard after just a couple of days.
  23. Doesn't look like thesis a popular mod for the Mk7 R by the looks of it. 🙃
