M2 is a pussy cat and not spiteful when sliding , I was on the Michelin pilots and they are a lovely tyre the car slides very progressively much easier to get out of shape versus my 2 M4'S !😟

I know what you mean OP It is not the getting used to a turbo delivery you are talking about (I think ) but the fact that there is inconsistency in the turbo's performance I have had a mix of N/A and Turbo cars over the years and always felt occasionally the turbo cars performance was not quite as strong as usual I would accelerate hard in second gear and get the strong shove in the back , 2 mins later try the same secong gear pull and not feel that the shove was as strong ! No idea why this happens but I have had it on all the turbo cars I have owned !

LOL Nothing to hide I was on a test drive back in March trying to find a replacement for my beautiful M4 Competition in Individual MOONSTONE that was stolen off my driveway without the keys being used ! A friend suggested I try the M2 in manual gearbox I was on the test drive in said car on St Albans road in Hertfordshire when I got lazer gunned doing 63mph The road had no speed limit signs and I did not realise it was a 30mph zone (apparently the street lampposts indicate this where the signs are not showing) Went to court at the end of September and got a Magistrate on a bad day ....70 day ban and £750 fine (max ban was supposed to be 7-56 days but they can extend if they want )

I have not changed ! I sold the M2 as i was banned from driving for speeding . Currently carless

My last car was an M2 It is a very good car and sounds pretty epic with an MPE and DP

OP my 2 cents it depends on how you view this car and what you are coming from ? If this is your pride and joy and upgrade in cars then keep it standard for a while and enjoy the power upgrade from your previous car . If this is a down grade or side step then mod the hell out of it asap I am potentially considering a Golf R but would not consider keeping it standard at all

Wow I had to read the post twice to grasp what happened . They actually tried to break in to your home not the car ! That is very scary and sadly talking from personal experience I have had an intruder in my home similar time of night when alone watching tv downstairs . I feel for you and thank goodness they did not make it in the home . You are convinced they were after your Golf though ? Did they say anything ?

Wow interesting. wonder if it is anything to do with the diesel gate scandal I guess the costs must be met somewhere. I have always chosen or returned to German build quality after being disappointed with European or Japanese counterparts . I had a Mk2 GTI 16 v and sold her with over 130,000 miles on the clock and it was running as sweet as a nut 🥜 I also had a Mk 6 GTI off another meme bet on here Raffe and that was a brilliant car despite having been tuned and modified and then returned to stick it drove beautifully and no rattles or squeaks

So are we suggesting that build quality has taken a step backwards since the MK5 ? I had a MK6 and that was pretty well screwed together

Anyone running camber plates on their Golf with coilovers ?

It's not the wheel just the colour , it needs to be contrasting with the bodywork . At the moment it looks too similar for me and does not do that wheel justice
