    Swirl marks

I'm pretty sure it's my drying technique that's causing mine. I've just waxed it tonight with Poorboys blue wax and all swirls gone. Just trying to prevent it at next wash.
  2. I took a picture so I knew what it was on before. This shows the module and what your changing
  3. I use brasso wadding when really dirty but normally use something like Mer car polish. Always looks great.

Having had my night blue R for a week I'll need to remember at "pat" and not "rub" swirls easily.
  5. I disabled mine by changing the voltage from 7.6 volts to 12v.
  6. An early oil change isn't essential but I'll be changing mine about 3000 miles then on to the normal schedule. Peace of mind for me, but personal choice
  7. Just checked mines quiet.
  8. I'll try it in the morning [emoji106]
  9. I must alter my last post! My exhaust flaps don't squeak[emoji4] I had picked up on a couple of noises which I assumed was the exhaust flaps. First one must be the fuel pump either when unlocking the car or opening the door, the second is the electric handbrake. Sorry for making the stupid assumption it was the flaps.
  10. I can only assume it sounds much better in person! Milltek usually have a nice unique tone but I'm struggling to pick it in the video.
  11. I fitted mine the other day and yeah a nice touch which could've been standard. From order to delivery 8 days.
  12. I picked up my new R last Wednesday and I must report my exhaust flaps squeak! Coming from an Audi where everything you complained of was normal, I assumed this was too.
  13. Really I'd suggest you drive both. It came from a Audi RS3 S-tronic and the thing that spoilt that car was the gearbox! I was adamant my next car was going to be manual, I test drove a manual R then a dsg R and for me fell in love with the dsg. If go as far to say one of the things that makes the R for me is the dsg gearbox its silky smooth and much more refined than I was used to. It comes down to personal preference but for me it has to be dsg.
  14. Hopefully it should be ok, as others have said it's worse the other way round. If I was you when you get it back I'd put a good quality fuel treatment through the tank which will clean any unwanted gunk from injectors and lines. Good luck[emoji106]

    Top gear.

At least it involved talking about cars! Rather than an ego competition.

    Top gear.

I enjoyed the extra gear spin off better! Not as loud and in your face.
  17. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, but as above I don't think I'll bother mine either.
  18. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts after using it for a few days. I was contemplating doing mine, although I like how it's so quiet when you want it.
  19. Looks great Colin, I've had mine since Wednesday but not had chance for any pics. So far I don't regret changing from the RS3[emoji106]
  20. Having just picked my R up today I'd like to know how to disable start stop using vcds
  21. Pick up my R this week, traded in my mk1 Audi RS3. Are there many others around Dumfriesshire or Carlisle area on here?
