Thanks mate, yes I know Reuben well. I've been to Tuning Werkes once for a basic health check but unfortunately my experience has not been great since. I repeatedly had to chase for a quote (Sept-Nov 2017) and then I had to do the same for a booking slot few weeks ago for a simple steering wheel swap (15 min job). I was told there are no slots for the week I wanted so I enquired if they could do the job next week? No response.. I was happy to wait because I trust Tuning Werkes, however, I do not like to chase reputed tuners in this day and age to throw my money at them. If they do not have the time to accommodate customers then there are other places to go. I did mention to Reuben that we could have a fruitful relationship if he looks after my 7R as he is 15mins away from me - but seeing by the difficulties I face to get a simple booking, I took my business elsewhere. My thread above was for a 1.4TSI Golf anyway - I take my own car to AKS Tuning who have never let me down on service or communication. Because of this reason alone I travel 90 miles to them each way. I don't mind really - as long as service is great. Thanks mate, I'll take a look and send them a query.

Seeking decent independent VAG specialist garages around Sunbury/Feltham/Staines/Twickenham/Heathrow areas. Car (not my 7R) is out of warranty and I do not trust main dealers and will avoid them at all costs (due to past experiences). I tried searching the forum for existing threads on recommended indy garages but it returned 0 results. I then moved to Google and found a few in the area, just wondered if anyone had any experiences to share with these? I can try mate but it'll be extremely difficult with the car on the ground due to the clearance I have between my tyre and the arch. I will definitely click some pictures when I get the car up on a lift.

It remembers the 'E' gearbox setting for me in my Individual mode - even after ignition on/off.

I only got one shitty picture of the car park - it was freezing...and one member had already left by that time.. But I did get some of our awesome squad earlier in the day 😎

Here's mine: Monthly Payment - N/A Insurance - £91 - I pay for this annually, so this is the monthly cost. Tax / VED - £20 (Annual is £245) - There is a mixup with my V5/registration where my imported R is registered as a Light Private Goods vehicle, so stupidly my road tax is £245 per year with the new bracket (it was £235 last year). I've tried to contact DVLA multiple times, they cannot change it despite having evidence of the correct CO2 emissions. Fuel - £165-ish - Each tank is around £55 me (I don't wait until I'm running dry) and this is roughly how much I consume each month. Total: £276 Mods, detailing, servicing, preventive maintenance are all extra.
