    Polished my Pipes!

Yes I’ve got a few of those spots remaining. Looks almost like the chrome has been pitted and the carbon is deep in the pit. Poor craic for 7 months old. Maybe I’ll just paint them black [emoji848]

    Polished my Pipes!

I was going to ask the forum for recommendations. Used Autosol which claims to “protect”, but to what degree? I’ll keep an eye on it and give that a shot if they crud up too quickly. Thanks for the suggestion. Frank

Good tip, I’ll give that a shot.

    Polished my Pipes!

Yes. Yes it is. Doesn’t get washed enough and hasn’t seen wax for weeks!

    Polished my Pipes!

Managed to sneak an hour while the wee lass was napping and SWMBO took the eldest out to the cinema. Decided to give my pipes a wee polish, they’re not perfect but certainly an improvement. Amazing how much crud builds up in only 3k miles. 7 month old 7.5 estate, driven daily. After... Yes, the rest of the car is a disgrace!

    Apple car play.

iOS 12. You then can use GM and Waze via CarPlay. No screen colour issues with my iPhone 6. Frank

Very nice, been up that Coldstream road one or twice. Lovely scenery. Balmy 12 degrees C just now and only 20mph winds so think you’ll get away with the summers... Fank

Snap! Very nice mate. You’ll need to plan your route to include a B-road blast or two. Enjoy the trip. Where you heading for? Frank

Hello again folks, and thanks for all the welcomes! So, took a wee daunder up to Aberdeen this morning and picked up the R. And as SWMBO was out for lunch with friends and no kids in tow I decided to avoid the monotony of the A90 and it’s ASC’s for the route home and plumped for the A93 Braemar road instead... What can I say, it was a great wee road for getting engaged with the new car and really getting a feel for it. Having come from a 14 year old diesel estate it was certainly a breath of fresh air. Only problem now is that the car is now plastered with bug entrails, guess I’ll be breaking out the pressure washer soon! First job was to seal the fabric as with two children under 3 and a big stinky mutt I want to start off with half a chance of keeping this car clean! No pics as it was already getting dark by the time I started, just imaging a short bald guy standing on his drive at 20:30 on a Saturday night spraying Wowo fabric sealant into a golf estate! Anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome, here’s to a good few years of enjoyable R’ing! Frank

Absolutely! Far too many hatches running around. When I go to the tip it needs to be sideways with all 4 wheels spinning! Doubt the dog will enjoy that so much though... Frank

Most certainly will do, as long as I don’t take the scenic route and end up filthy. Thanks for all the warm welcomes, it’s always nice to join a friendly forum. Roll on collection... Frank

Afternoon all, Thought it high time to sign up to the forum and introduce myself. Been lurking for a good while as we pondered our next car purchase and as we put a deposit down yesterday I though I’d best make it official with a VWROC membership! So, boring bit first - I’m Frank, based on the East Coast of Scotland. And if anyone’s interested, the reason for joining up... Apologies for the poor quality snap, was pushed for time at the dealers and with two small children in tow I wasn’t flavour of the month for taking as long as I did during the test drive... Anyway, all going well we should be picking her up in a couple of weeks and I’ll be able to post some proper pics. Until then I’ll continue lurking in the Mk7 forum and probably start asking some daft questions. Frank
