  1. Would you really let them try repair the diff when they have offered to replace the timing belt on a car that has a chain? Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
  2. I have a creak coming from the rear in mine and I can't seem to track down what's causing it. My old GTD had it too but it's less pronounced on the R. Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
  3. I plan on fitting Pagid to my stock R too, won't be tracking the car and have no intention to mod it yet. Had them on previous cars and they are perfectly adequate.
  4. Greetings from Ireland, 3 x R (I'm the LSG), 2 x GTI, 1 x GTD
  5. Yes there is an after-run pump which runs after cool down, i still let it cool down manually after a spirited run
  6. I bought a manual one owner car with 60k milesin December. The car was in very good condition with full service history, 5 stamps from VW. As far as i know it's on the stock clutch and up to 64k now and I've had no issues. It still seems strong, and even if i do have to replace it can be done for less than 1k so it wouldn't put me off owning one. I am not planning on tuning the car so I'm hoping it will as long as possible. I think it's the luck of the draw really.
  7. 19" Cadiz were the stock wheels here in Ireland too, they didn't offer and 18" wheel option. The Pretoria's were only €130 extra to spec. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  8. They don't call them stealers for nothing! Has anyone here ever changed the rear diff oil?
  9. Interesting, the dealers here in south of Ireland charge €50 for the 850ml bottle. I recently had mine changed.
  10. I have had this issue too where water was coming through speaker in passenger footwell. Got the door card removed and speaker sealed up by an indy this week, my carpet is still damp but i don't think there is any more water getting in. I mopped up a lot of it with paper towels and dried drying it with a hairdryer but i think the underlayer is still wet so i have dampness coming though but it's a lot better than what it was. Hasn't helped that it hasn't stopped raining since about august.
  11. Managed to do this tonight, had enough access with the passenger side of the scuttle removed, undid the 10mm bolt and put a rubber washer on top and the rattle has stopped completely. Result. I might fool around with the volume now with obd11 to see what the best volume is but i didn't one to get rid of it completely. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  12. Guys I have the annoying soundaktor rattle and was hoping to try secure it, does anyone have the pics from the original post? Is the OP still active?
  13. Don't know why tapatalk is blurring my pics[emoji2959] anyway here's the clean filter Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  14. Had my haldex service done Monday as I had no record of it being done previously, even though my car was serviced 5 times by VW at roughly every 10k miles. 62k miles on the car now so judging by how clean the gauze was I'd say it was cleaned before. Oil was filthy though and full of bits of contaminants so it was well worth changing. Feels like the car is gripping better since too. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  15. Yep, I must try get down to the KK meet. Love the new additions Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
