When i went to test drive them after looking online for ages i was initially disappointed turning up and looking at them, all had 18’s. Thought it looked like a taxi. (Was also just a standard blue colour) As soon as i saw one with black prets i got it. Totally changes the look. imo needs the bigger wheels, Looks like too much car otherwise.

3 years in an im still in love with mine, 30mm spacers on the rears with prets just sets the back end. I actually much prefer the look to the hatch.

Any idea if you can put the false floor from a standard Tig into the R? Currently drive a Golf R estate and wanting to go for a Tig R, but i very often have rear seats down to use full length of the back for equipment and the lip in the R is an absolute no go. Any ideas if the standard tig hatches and stuff would fit into the R. Cheers

Yeah I saw that in some pictures. It might be a deal breaker that as I need the length all the way back like the R estate. Need a proper look round one when I’m back in the UK. Also need some average urban MPG stats, living in London I can go from 2 weeks of urban driving to then up the end of the country.

Hi there Tiguan wing of the forum! Looking at upgrading Golf R Estate to the Tig, but really need to know the distance from the back of the rear seats (the lip thing) to the opposite side, hoping it’s as long as the estate as it a huge deal breaker if not, and I much prefer the Tig over SQ5 and X5M. if someone had 5 minutes at some point to do that for me I would be eternally grateful. Thanks alot dudes

the mirrors were like £30 and the wrapping was £150 I think! Can’t remember exactly. But something like that.

Mirrors were from eBay. Then got a wrapping place to do the lower lip, roof rails and the front grill / the bit around the front badge. Think black badges look abit naff so left them and I think it works. Would look mint on a white wagon!

You should look into getting the other chrome bits blacked out, if you’re doing the mirrors. Did my lapiz blue wagon not long ago. Love it.

Felt the same when I got my lapiz blue wagon with black prets. Dechromed it recently, still absolutely obsessed with it. Nice work mate. Enjoy

Res delete! Did my estate 6 months ago… love it, just the right amount of noise.
