  1. Looks fantastic! Must admit I absolutely love that Lapiz blue - if I move to the 8.5 that will be the reason why! Enjoy!
  2. Loos awesome! All these Black Editions are making me very jealous!
  3. Massive Congratulations to you all collecting your 8.5's! I'm loving seeing the actual pictures of the facelift appose to the visualisers and looking forward to seeing one in the flesh. Enjoy and have a great Christmas all
  4. Perfect thanks Rebecca! Will get in booked in for early Dec
  5. Afternoon All, Quick Q: When is the 1st service due? Is it done by age or mileage? Mine will be a year old on 8th December and not sure whether I need to get it booked in or not. Thanks
  6. Phenomenal spec! Bet you cant wait and I hope you got a nice discount
  7. Looks impressive - the subscription price would put me off though. Really increase total price over the years
  8. See website has updated colour to Grenadilla Black Metallic??
  9. I'm with you - I must admit when I heard the Golf 8.5 would be launched in January, after on receiving my Mk8 in December, I was worried I would regret not being patient and getting the latest gen Golf R. However, the tweaks are minor and as discussed not necessarily progression! Its only a few pictures and articles so shouldn't judge straight away but its not the step forward that was seen between Mk 7 & Mk 7.5!!
  10. Morning guys, cleaning the car yesterday and noticed the headlights misting up - is this due to the cold weather or a possible fault? Thanks
  11. Good spec but I suggest the discount is linked to those blue wheels!!
  12. I think I would remove the coating with Gyeon Q2M Prep and try another brand!
  13. So after picking her up nearly 2 weeks ago and driving ~400 miles I can confirm the Golf R is a fantastic bit of kit!!! Coming from a Mk7 Golf GTI it feels more mature/grown up. It may be the fact I have DCC now, but it also feels more solid and secure. My remit will be slightly different from others; I will never track the car and it will be my daily to and from work, mainly on A roads, with some occasional B road fun! For me the car works perfectly - I can put it in comfort, use the ACC and return ~40mpg on my commute. But also, come the weekend, put it in Race/Sport, enjoy the cars performance and wear a massive grin on my face! Yes its a massive faux pas not having the temperature slider backlit, but its not the end of the world and you "learn" where it is and how to use it! I'm early into my ownership but don't understand why the infotainment gets such bad press - yes it wont win awards for being the best but its never a reason not to buy this car! I love the look of the car, I love the sound of the car, I love its balance of efficiency and performance, I love the leap forward interior wise, and at the moment I'm even loving the "new car smell"!! For those of you still waiting to take delivery, stay strong in the knowledge you are in for a treat!
  14. Must admit, I do love how mean/menacing the all black versions look!
