Looking at sticking some -25mm H&R springs on the estate and have DCC. Got a fitting quote from a garage I have used a lot in the past and they offered DCC re-calibration for an extra £120. Has anyone done this, not really sure what it would do and if really required?. Cheers all.

Can anyone help? I've just had 13mm front & 16mm rear spacers fitted to my Golf R. I currently run 18inch Pret's from VW. Can anyone recommend springs to fit to this setup? I'm looking at 15mm Eibachs, to avoid rub but to reduce the arch gap.

Hi Guys Firstly pardon my ignorance. long time reader first time poster. I've had my Mk7 r wolfsburg wagon ( in Australia) for about a year now and am looking at a few suspension changes. RSB to be installed initially. Not thinking about coil overs (want to keep dcc), however was wondering if there is a go to option for springs? are they more trouble than they are worth in my situation? I know its a subjective question about what people like. But im wondering whether its physically possible looking at the car now, It has 19 inch black prets which seem to fill the space pretty well - the arch gap is maybe only 2-3 fingers max. I.m wondering if this is standard with 19s or if aftermarket springs already installed? Would lowered spring drop cause rubbing etc (it doesnt now) cheers

Hi guys i have some vwr springs that need fitting Going to have a go at fitting with the help of my mechanic friend can anyone send me a link to, or able to give me some basic instructions of how to fit them, it would be a massive help cheers Sam

I spoke to a technician in VW today who explained to me that any wheels alignments must now be done by VW, as they will also need to incorporate the alignment of the ACC. Aligning the wheels without doing the ACC will result in the vehicles tracking being off. How much is this service from my local VW? £450. Four hundred and fifty pounds. Unless i get to take the wheel alignment equipment home with me at the end of it, i find that a little extortionate. And apparently no-one else in the north of Ireland can offer this service but VW. So, i was wondering if anyone who had recently fitted springs/coil-overs to there cars if they had any issues after having there cars realigned. Any steering wheels sitting even a few degrees of center when going in a straight line. -
Please can someone put my troubled mind at ease... Just put my Cadiz wheels back on for the winter. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that the nearside rear wheel arch gap is about 15mm bigger than the opposite side! The car looks positively lopsided! Fronts look fine. Had Eibach Pro springs fitted 2 months ago. Will they just settle or should I be heading to the garage asap? -
I've been offered some ST springs for my 7R, has anyone got them or seen any reviews? Thanks
