  1. Just starting a thread for my estate. Not going crazy as I'm quite happy with the power at the mo. Not sure if I'll really get to use the power it has now very often. I'm absolutely loving the car so far. It's so good to drive and seems to have limitless grip through the corners. It really doesn't feel like an estate. The spec I went for was the Oryx paint, Dynaudio, reverse cam, climate screen and black mirrors and bars. The standard tech on the car is great. I have some new wheels to go on once I ship them back from the states and I'd like to lower it little in the future. Sent from my S9 using Tapatalk
  2. Hi all, I hope this is worth a shot my golf got hit this week on the passenger side lightly and what looks like to be plastic damage by the heat exchanger on the passenger side I can attach photos if needed but I need to know what parts I will need to get to repair this damage
  3. Hi, I've got a Golf R (66 plate) Mk7 upgraded to a 7.5. Virtual Cockpit and Sat Nav have been installed. I'm getting the below: 1) CORNERING LIGHT (AFS) error message 2) When applying the full beam headlight to flash, the blue logo appears on the virtual cockpit however the headlight beam does not occur. Has anyone else had this issue when upgrading.

I have recently upgraded my 2015 R manual folding mirrors to original electric ones taken off a 2016 R. the mirrors and switch are all original parts, the install was pretty easy and I have successfully got the mirrors working (folding via switch, auto folding when car is locked, demister and reverse dipping etc) The upgraded ones include puddle lights which fail to turn on when folding in or out. I was wondering if anyone else has faced this issue before? I don't have puddle lights on the doors, just a red reflector at the bottom so would this be the cause of the issue or would it be something else? does anyone know the fuse number for the puddle lights?
  5. Hi guys wonder if you can help me I got a mk7 golf r with 27k on the clock. Decided to get it remapped with a dsg map from dk tuning. They said it will take the car to 375bhp... so went down to do the mapping all went well. I also did like a driving rolling road where they calculate bhp... so we hade a few attempts and the car was way quicker... then as we was going back to the dealers house the EPC LIGHT CAME ON with low power from the throttle but to other lights on the dash. We scanned the car and it came up with a error code saying misfire in piston 1 due to pressure.. and they also scanned the car before the map and there was no codes. So they decided to put a lower powered map on, about 350 to 355 bhp.. the cars runs perfect, but when I do lunch control sometimes the car seems to lose power for a split second and then blasts off down the road... i was wondering if I should get a garage to check it out with a full depth code read. Or has anyone come across this problem and can help me many thanks
  6. Hi Guys, I know this is a heavily debated topic, but I am thinking of upgrading my brake pads from the stocks... From what I have seen the two options I am deciding between are the Ferodo DS2500 and the EBC Yellow stuff? Has anyone tried both these pads and could offer any advice? Any other options people could recommend? Cheers! (I am running drilled discs by the way, so aggressive pads should not be a problem)
