Snooky Posted March 20, 2015 Report Share Posted March 20, 2015 As others have said before me...the 7R is worth the wait. I did c.300 miles in mine today since picking it up this morning. The dealer had it set to Eco and I left it in that whilst going to my various meetings and in the c.150 miles of motorway back up the country. The final 35 miles were cross country on B roads - what a riot! The car is totally different in Race mode, straining on the leash in a lower gear begging to be pushed. I only took it high up the rev range a couple of times but crikey it's rapid! Looking forward to a proper play with all the settings tomorrow and plenty of trips over the weekend! Then cars built after are en-route. What's actually going on! I hoped mine would be here begging of april as it was stage 5 5th March. I feel your pain, I too have a BW10, still sitting in the port but I've waited 7 months so far for it, another 1 isn't gonna matter on the grand scheme of things, can't wait to get my hands on it though! They can't facilitate a handover with you if you are not around. If you need to delay the car a month it should not be a problem at all, unless you are a leaser and there is some clause in the contract that compels you to take delivery within a week or 2 of availability? Might see you down there then... I'm going also to sign docs. Around lunchtime. Car is in compound but my dealer contact is either going to bring the car up to the showroom or take me down to the compound to have a look at it. I'll keep a look out for yours!!
