See tbh I'm starting to like them lol Just don't sound good inside the car maybe I'll get used to it. Going to try driving in eco instead of normal. Probably just need to get used to the difference in driving modes.

Tried it for a few minutes and eco at stage 2 is nothing like it was it's actually nippy. Only thing puts me off is when you're approaching a bend at speed and you take your foot off the accelerator it goes into neutral and feels like you're losing control a bit.

Think I'll see how it goes for a couple of weeks then if it's doing my head in I'll ask him to tone it down or take it off completely.

The thing that puts me off is there's loads of kids round where i am driving corsas with big bore exhausts and pop and bang maps. I'm early forties but I'd have absolutely loved it when I was in my twenties. Grown out of that now tho.

I'm similar age so like that only on in sports mode/sports transmission. There is plenty of sounds without it. I'd be annoyed too if there and I asked for without. Sounds like good numbers 417hp is a strong tune. I never use eco so can't comment there.

I'm prob 99% Normal D mode and 1% sports for fun and fast take offs when time is right. My son calls it fast mode and loves the fast acceleration.

Hopefully it's something they can fix for you. Should be at no cost too. Most good tuners/companies would want customer happy and good word of mouth for them.

I actually like driving in eco sometimes with gearbox in sport... there's something pleasurable about the car accelerating so fast but making almost no noise and you can't even feel the gear changes..lol

Would like to know just how much eco reduces the power because it feels like a he'll of a lot..

m the same, barely use race or sport unless I feel like a blast or have to overtake quickly so I wouldn't mind as much if it just happened in sport but in normal mode, which I use pretty much all the time its banging randomly even slowing down from 20. I live in a small town with small streets so it's not ideal. Plus from inside the cabin it just sounds like you've popped a tyre lol

Getting a new map put on this afternoon so can't wait to actually enjoy driving it. The vagsport res delete and scorpion downpipe together make a nice deep growl and it's taken away the drone from having the exhaust flaps coded open somehow. I far prefer that than the car sounding like it's backfiring. Before I got into modding I used to think cars with those tunes had something wrong with them they sound broken to me.

Running Revo stg2 here, I get over run snap crackle & pops when its in sport/race mode but in normal its just like normal .

I hardly ever engage race mode, more DSG pull back to Sport when I'm approaching a junction/roundabout & want to be a yob 😄

It does feel proper obnoxious doesn't it, like you're sticking your two fingers up to everyone else on the road🤣

I've been stage 2 with full remus DPs and catback for around 6 years and 40k miles as the Golf is my daily. The car is left in race mode permanently and is perfectly quiet in normal driving, however in race mode it pops and bangs nicely, just enough for me anyway. I have spent a lot on my sound system and I want to hear it when I'm just driving around normally.

Perfect daily driver for me.
