  1. Just to say my virtually mint white silver 2017 7.5 DSG is for sale in classifieds. It could save you a wait and thousands. Balance of 5 year factory warranty...
  2. This advert is COMPLETED!

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

3 children under 5 means my white silver FL R DSG 5 door is getting too little use to keep. Save thousands over new or dealer. I bought it through Drive the Deal. It has the balance of a 5 year factory warranty and is as good as mint - minor mark to one alloy. It has been mostly garaged, stock and never launched. One service left on the pack. Extras: Dynaudio, keyless access, reversing camera, rear tints and voice control. I'm in Bath. Any test drive - driver needs to provide comprehensive insurance.

  3. Hi mate, I've just signed up so can't seem to contact you. Could you message me on 07493068492 about your R for sale:)

    Thanks

  4. It’s very steep, clearly the R sails up when not behind someone, which is hardly ever. Can’t believe how many Rs there are in in Bath.
  5. Fixed To be honest a waste of money. Doesn’t add anything to the rear mirror other than distraction as to where to look.
  6. If your car is stock and had its oil changes at the prescribed intervals I’d suggest pressing upwards for goodwill.
  7. They’re too small to be of much use, other than hiding sweets from the kids. Odd thing to remove though.
  8. All subjective but the Dynaudio is the best system I’ve had in a car. Admittedly not had an Audi but have had H+K BMW. IMHO Dynaudio gives a natural sound. I find equaliser best left untouched. Source quality matters. Radio sounds pretty good but downloaded Tidal at hifi quality sounds great. Best is SD card with a lossless format. For some reason CDs don’t sound great.
  9. I can feel the 2 to 3 change in normal driving more than 1 to 2 or 3 to 4 but it’s no more jerky than any other automatic (if I can call it that) I’ve driven. It’s smoother when warm. Can’t get it to slam a change. Actually the 7 DSG feels very very similar to the 8 speed conventional auto in my diesel X5 mum-truck. I know the technology is different but the gearboxes drive similarly whether in auto or manual modes.
  10. My 7.5 sweeps its needles randomly. I quite like it that way
  11. I’ve a 7 speed and had this once whilst overtaking a lorry. Kick down in 2nd gear. Lost power, looked down and revs were at 7k and it felt like it had hit the limiter. I lifted off and it found 3rd. Never happened again.
  12. My 7.5 failed to change up once. I was on a country road with the whole family in the car. Kicked down into 2nd, moved out to overtake a lorry, accelerating hard then the power disappeared. I looked down and the revs were at about 7k. Lifted off and it found a gear. Luckily I had built up enough speed to tuck in past the lorry. My wife had her hands over her eyes. Never happened again. Think very occasionally these boxes can do odd things.
  13. I bought through DTD and was provided with a letter confirming the 5 year factory warranty by the dealer, who gave excellent service. I was told there are two computer systems dealers use and both may need to be checked to confirm the car has the extended factory warranty.
  14. Mine is smooth, no jerks on take up. Changes into 2nd almost immediately, only indication is the number on the display changing. Agree in manual it won’t let you change into 2nd until well over 2k revs in 1st for some reason.
