  1. Thanks for the comments guys. I’ll get a second price from my local before deciding on doing them myself and opt for the Brembo [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hi, My cars been in the main stealers today and they have quoted me £471 to fit new rear pads and discs!! A quick look at euro car parts says Bosch are £170 for both and I wondered what peoples preferred supplier are? I went cheap on the wife’s car and it has a squeal and shudders although works fine. (It’s ok it’s a Skoda) I have all the tools which isn’t a problem but don’t fancy being ripped off. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. My mate sold his golf r last week with motorway. His quote increased in value over a period of 4 weeks to point where it made him go for the deal.. His car is a 2015 pretty much standard with 80k on the clock. They first offered him £14600 and when he installed the app and followed instructions identifying, crack in front screen and kerbed alloys they reduced to £14200.. When he then reapplied 4 weeks later they offered £14990 he did the same again with the app and it reduced to £14700. On that he put it up for sale and they told him it went for £15150! He paid £19k 3 years ago and has done 40,000miles in that time. All collected and no hassle! I was so impressed I got a quote for my 2018 high spec with 26k owned from new and they offered me £26150 which considering I paid £34k from new and it’s over 3 years old by 2 months I thought it wasn’t bad.. I’m keeping mine but I was impressed. Hope that helps.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I think I read earlier in thread that you could but it would be a higher premium? Think booth11 posted it some details around new owner? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks. I got prices the other day and it ranged from £277 - £348 dependent on annual mileage and excess. I’ll be going for the zero excess on 10k miles which £334 [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the comments guys, seems like a no brainer if the price is right. I’ll feedback on the prices [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi guys, Got my email from VW to extend my warranty and wondered if anyone had any experience? I’ve had the car from new and now coming up to 3 years old. It’s got 25k on the clocks and I intend on keeping for a while yet. Only concern is I’ve only done about 3k in the last 12 months and I’ll be paying for a warranty for not a lot of mileage? I’m not sure of costs yet but it looked like you could also have different levels of cover? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. My car is 3 years in may and service was this month so didn’t see point in going back 2 months later as the coffee wasn’t that good! Car has 25k on it. I had Haldex done as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think I’d be going down the independent vag specialist route with the car being at the age it is as it’s out of any warranty period or good will gesture. That being said if it’s had full Vw service up to now saving £100 might not be that much of a saving when you come to sell. I just had a minor service and I wasn’t impressed. They just don’t seem to know what they need to do until it gets in the workshop and my bill doubled as gearbox oil and brake fluid needed doing which they never realised until I dropped it off! I’m not flaming you on halfrauds, I’ll leave that to others [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. My indium hatch has silver and I think I prefer the black. Thinking of the carbon replacements. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  12. Sorted. Just spoke to them and they thought it was removing the cat which is a fail. They’ve said they can fit. Is the cat closer to the engine or back box? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’ve just spoken to local garage about fitting the res delete and if they can fit when they do the mot which was a good shout but they’ve said it will fail the mot. I’ve had a google and seems people have differing responses from as long as it’s not to loud it will be ok to your car should have the correct amount of boxes that it was designed with? I’m a bit disappointed now as the garage are really good and I’d trust them to do the right thing. I’m waiting to speak to the tester to get there reasoning and. Will post later [emoji3525] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Are you fitting yourself or getting it installed by someone else Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. How much fitted Nige? Need to plan this post lockdown as I’m in birmingham or could it be fitted locally? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I’m overdue having something done to my car which is approaching 3 years old now. What’s the difference on this new item Nige over the previous version and does it need mapping or anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Maybe I’m a snowflake but this is one of the first posts on this forum that I’m reading with disbelief! Some points I agree with but sometimes personal opinions are just that and best kept to themselves. My Nan use to say nothing nice to say don’t say it but should also use to have a sharp tongue and would speak her mind Difference being she never had the internet [emoji1787][emoji1787] Maybe not time to kiss and make up but need to move on. 19. I looked into this and found this https://www.autoease.com/product/liftgate/ I’m sure I found the uk supplier and they would supply direct. I’ll look and see if I can find costs... I never went ahead with it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Sounds interesting re the radio show.. I’ve left radio 1 when Chris moyles left. As comedy Dave left so did I. My mates always says that about warranties..it’s like when you buy a tv and they try to sell you an extended warranty and tell you the nightmare stories..I once said to a salesman so your telling me after 12 months it will fail and I’ll have no comeback.. it’s really all about wether you want the hassle out of warranty if it does fail? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Good news! Only a shame as don’t hear the word ronnied that often [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
