Maybe on a stock car it is, the stock exhaust was louder after it was remapped so maybe it’s that but there is definitely some drone at 70, it’s not too loud or overly intrusive though and there is a lot less drone than other res deletes I’ve heard. At 60 there is zero drone.

Are you after more sound or just better flow? I went for the Forge motorsport induction kit which does increase induction sound quite a bit especially turbo “whooshes”, I love it!

I’ve got the BCS res delete and have turned off the soundaktor as I prefer to hear the actual engine, drone isn’t too bad but you will always get some with a res delete as far as I’m aware.

Car will pass an mot with the res delete, it’s a decat that would fail MOT. Had the res delete done and it sounds much better! Need their cat back or turbo back powervalve system but this will do for now 😁

Welcome! Would definitely recommend checking out BCS exhausts, I’m there now getting their res delete fitted but will be saving up for one of their full powervalve systems. Top guys that really do love what they do and the craftsmanship is second to none 👍🏻

Ah fair enough, is the dash and infotainment coding something that can be done with VCDS do you know? Or is it something I would need to take to a specialist to get working?

I’ve just bought a Golf R and recently our neighbourhood has been targeted for cars with majority being houses broken into for the keys and with every single one the locks were snapped. I've just gone down the deterrent route so Disklok always on, anti snap locks and powerful floodlight.
