Yes the latest version on my 8R is 1985 which it updated to in November last year .

I always use Nilglass on the windows , and about 4 times a year do the exterior glass with the Soft99 Glaco compound & roll on .

My 23 updated today to software 1985 .

Just downloaded on mine now . Have to stay out of the car for 30mins during install .

When I purchased my 73 reg R in August this year I noticed it had no engine cover . When I joined this forum and saw the Missing Engine Cover thread I contacted my VW dealership . They ordered a new one in for me which was delivered after 3 weeks ( totally free ) I asked if I could collect it to fit myself at home which they agreed . I presume the car was delivered new without one .

Having just had my 8.0R since last Saturday I’m still slowly learning about the info settings & modes etc . My R is a PP so has the extra 2 D/modes Drift and Special . In one Y/T video I saw , the driver put the car in Special mode and the instrument cluster turned green colour to replicate the Nurburgring but in another Y/T vid the driver said he did not know how to get the same effect . Is there a way to do this in any of the settings .

Would it be possible to put a photo up of your connection Greg so I can see it . I have the Ctek MXS 5.0 and the indicator eyelet which I would like to connect . I was at my VW dealer yesterday & noticed a Ctek quick connect protruding from the bonnet of a new on show Golf , I asked to see how it was connected . The -ve was connected directly to the battery -ve terminal which I thought was odd .

Hello everyone , I just joined the forum yesterday just after buying my first MK8R . I collect the car next Saturday. I am coming to VW after owning a Toyota GR Yaris ( Circuit Pack ) for the last 3 yrs. Before that I had a JCW F56 Mini ( auto) . The spec of my 4motion DSG is L/Blue , Performance Pack, Winter Pack, 19"Estorils on the Bridgestone Potenza, Akrapovic , Leather seats , H/K sound , DCC , Rear camera , Heads up display , Panoramic S/R . I had an hours test drive on my own yesterday and instantly loved the car . Its a 73 reg but has only done 1300 mls .I live in the Lake District so have plenty of scenic B roads to explore 😀. I will post more & better photos up when I have the car , I do my own detailing on cars so should get it looking good , here are a few photos I took yesterday .
