I've been talking to a friend who does a lot of retro fits & coding and he seems to think it's a firmware thing and VCDS / VCP cannot turn it off at the moment. DUB R4XX Posted June 22, 2017 Report Share Posted June 22, 2017 Another option for everyone on here that doesn't involve using vcds obd or unplugging anything is getting your car secured with an Autowatch Ghost and this can make your start stop button default as off instead of on and has the added bonus of making your car more secure even if your keys are taken. andy35554 Posted June 24, 2017 Report Share Posted June 24, 2017 Tried it on mine yesterday. 2015 DSG model... seems to work ok and I hope it stays that way. I've always thought that it prematurely cuts the engine off and it has frustrated me many times in the past. My all time best mod so far. ! Maybe I need to switch it off to remind myself how lame the accelerator pedal is in standard mode!
