RS3 8Y was costing £3-400 per month in fuel, plus insurance went up a crazy amount this year. The GTD was another £100 in fuel per month plus it was at the age where things would need doing soon, like suspension related etc, plus we had it a long time, great car but it was time for a change. Cupra Born is fairly similar to the GTD in size so the wife is happy. I can now go somewhere and not be to overly concerned about being nobbled for the Tesla ( RS3 was a constant worry ) and I didn’t care much for it after 2 years ownership.
