My car was suffering from the front end creaking when going slowly over bumps and rough surfaces. Issue was noticeably worse in dry conditions indicating issue likely to do with something requiring greasing. Anyways, this morning i gave the front wishbone bushes and front arb bushes a spray with silicone grease and the car is now silent. I could have taken it to VW as the car is only 18 months old, but for the sake of a fiver and 5mins of my time I decided to try this first. Also I now know in future if the creaking comes back to just get the grease out and get spraying. If anyone is suffering the same issues give this a try, I didn’t even need to take the wheels off, just turned them full lock one way and then the other. Nice one, my R has started creaking most noticeably when steering left at low speed, will give the lower control arms and bushes a spray up this weekend

I don't suppose you could show on a plan / photo where you sprayed can you?!? 😀 If you look at a picture of the front wishbone you will see that there are 3 points where it connects to the car and hub. Just spray all 3 top and bottom. With regards to the ARB there is a clamp each side with a rubber bush holding the bar to the car, if you look along the ARB you can’t miss them. Vandalle
Hey guys. Picked up a new Golf R mk8 2022 two days ago. Driving out of the dealership I am hearing what sounds like a rattle or squeak whenever the car rolls or pitches and adjusts for it. Sound comes from the driver front side. Going over a manhole or bump on the suspected side doesn’t reproduce it as the shocks absorb but only a split second after the bump when the body adjusts for the mini roll or pitch. Slow speeds or high speeds it doesn’t matter it’s basically a function of adjusting the body to the roll/pitch. Obviously worse if I’m on a rough road as the adjustments are brutally sequentially one after the other. The sound is akin to like styrofoam being twisted or compressed against a solid surface. Like a squishy but rattle or loose sound. Videos on YouTube suggest one of like 7 different bushings in the suspension or even the engine mount above struts or something. I’m no mechanic but any thoughts here on what this could be? Is this a lemon?

So I guess there are two sounds https://share.icloud.com/photos/001WNoCe-kybkPZbtCXMPmroQ
