Am looking at changing my Mk7 for an 8.5
Likely going to go for a used one, as there are some deals to be had with decent spec with a good saving on the new price.
Most if not all the deals on new seem to be geared around PCP/Finance , so if you’re paying cash on top of your trade in, there’s limited deals around.
Will be a Lapiz blue or white.
The search is underway

Well the initial enquiries are underway.
P/X values are as expected , but I always say, it’s the cost to change, so if I can’t achieve what I want for mine, then I expect them to move a bit on there price
I’m in the fortunate position of being able to buy outright, and at a push, I could sell mine privately, but then I have to deal with all the chancers and time wasters.
I’m not unrealistic, but like to feel there’s a bit of give and take, rather than we want yours for the lowest price possible, but you pay our asking price and no room for negotiation.
I can sense some tough negotiation coming.

You can take out the finance, benefit from the incentive and then cancel it so you don’t pay interest.  I did that when we bought my wife’s 7.5 R in 2018.

I’ve heard that, but are you saying you would still retain the cash back incentive.
The finance company pay that, so you ain’t going to get that if you cancel.
All you’ll gain is the extra warranty and the cheap service pack.
But as I’m looking at nearly new cars, you get most of the warranty anyway.

Yes.  It was a £3,500 (I think) deposit contribution from VW Finance.  The settlement figure was the same a the amount financed (discounted price less contribution).

Hey everyone! I have my 8.5 arriving next week. I've been searching these threads and can't find anything about what can/can't be done with OBDEleven. I presume that SFD2 hasn't been cracked yet, so is there anything we are able to tweak at all?

Hi you can't do very much tbh, you can turn of lane assist, but you can't turn of the annoying speed warning that you have to manually turn off ever time you start

Do you have details of how to turn off lane assist? I thought sfd2 has to be cracked first ?
