AHG
I wonder how the remote works, meaning, does oh go all the way through the web or does it only authenticate through it but communicate directly via BT to other. Either way, I’d guess that the remote option would it require no additional hardware if you have PA+ as our cars has all types of connectivity (BT, WiFi etc). VW lists 2 PR codes, 8A2 "Intelligent Park Assist" and 8A5 "Park assist plus with remote control". But the control module is the same for both. In the MK8, the PR code for "regular" park assist is 7X5. The 8A2 and 8A5 PR codes also use a new sensor from the ID series cars 1EA919275AGRU (4 front) and 1EA919275BGRU (2 front sides and all 6 on the back). This is different than the 7X5 used in both the MK8 and the "lower trim" 8.5s. I'd be interested if those that got "PLUS" have the PR code 8A2? How confusing is it that ETKA lists "park assist plus with remote control", when based on the above 2 pages of posts it's marketed as "Pro" Unfortunately the PR sticker is no longer in the front of the owners manual as with previous car. No doubt there’s one behind the trim panel in the boot but I don’t really want to start pulling that off atm. VW’s naming conventions of various options leaves a lot to be desired. That would have to be the case of the Pro if ever offered via the Shop.
Booth11
One thing I’ve noticed on this car compared to the mk8R, is that the matrix lights seem to remember the last setting and if activated on a trip, at next startup (headlights on Auto) the symbol (A headlight symbol) appears on the dash without having to tap the indicator stalk forwards. This is a welcome update.
AHG
Oh, good. An improvement. I had to code it to remember it in my 8R Booth11

I’ll probably do that at some point over Christmas but need to get used to the sound when it’s set to Eco so I get a good feel for that and will be able to discern a difference if there is one. Yeah this is now confirmed. Although my Gopro really just picked up all the fan sound inside so movie cant tell us anything. There is a 4-7 db lower reading when the soundaktor is disconnected on eco/individual. Way less RRRRRR when you push the throttle. So its a 4db lower cabin noise(like a medial) I would say. Its quite nice place to be. Cant wait to give it a longer drive in the spring. Also - and I really dont know why when driving is put in sport+ the idle is higher. This is a welcome update. A couple of people have messaged me about the coding for this for the MK8. Not sure if it’s posted somewhere already, and I’m sure there’s a better spot, but here it is: Firstly make sure you hood/bonnet is popped. In 09, unlock SFD, then go to adaptations. Look for “Fernlicht_assistent” -> “Fernlichtassistent reset” and set this to “not_active”. It will be “active” from factory. AHG

It is available in the obdeleven section already as @AHG posted it up some time ago. But doesn’t hurt to repost here but in time it will be hard to find but as it’s already in the other section, doesn’t need duplication there. But for anyone looking for obdeleven coding it’s always best to have a look in the dedicated section first or ask if it’s there.

This is great to know, and apologies @AHG for stealing your thunder on this one!! I actually never ever venture outside of the MK8 sub forum here, so didn’t even know that OBDEleven section existed. It would kinda make more sense to me if there was an OBDEleven sticky in this sub with the coding/adaptations to the MK8. But that’s probably only because I’ve never been anywhere but this sub, hahahaha! Booth11
