    I couldn't decide for ages but eventually went for MPSS (£168 for 19s at CostCo) on the basis that the Michelins might last longer than the OEM Bridgestones did. At least that's how I justified it!

    Hi roon756, I'm more often on the other side of the motorway but I'll look out for you, big fan of LSG. There's often a smart looking white one going down forge lane as well, with a private plate. Mine's a Lapiz, starting F20***, give me a wave! Cheers

    20" BBS Nice car but it's a shame to see the R400 engine in a GTi - it's a case of "this is what you could've won"!

    I went to Sinclair Newport and couldn't even buy a car! Very unhelpful, offered me a test drive in a Mk6 GTD! Then I went to Capitol in Merthyr, great experience. Loan car for the long wait, chocolates to say it's here and a big bunch of flowers on the handover. Really sensible people who understood this was a pretty expensive Golf, a good deal and a good experience.

    There were a few of these still hanging around in the dealers when the 7R came out. Eventually they had to register them which is why I think you get odd numbers looking at 2014 Golf R registrations.     I was walking up to my car in a town centre car park and there was a lady standing next to it - just before I got there and Lapiz 5dr with Prets pulled up to pick her up. I think she had mistaken mine for her lift! It even had a plate similar to mine. Nice to see another one riding around, it was looking really good and made me happy with my choice. I've previously had other quick cars and kit cars but have never had as much attention as I get with the Lapiz R. I know Red/White/LSG/etc is better but I like the R in all colours!
