  1. Not a bad shout 🤣 Anyone got any thoughts on the 140i. There's some insanely cheap deals for under 30k brand new.
  2. My interest rate isnt as amazing as some people are making out it's around 2.5% but fixed for next 5 years so it's not somthing I need to immediately worry about and if they do go up, then I'll have time to make a more sensible decision after 5 years. Good suggestions but, its my daily and of I have to listen to a squeaky interior id pull my hair out. So pretty much limits to the 3 German powerhouses
  3. I'm not worried about paying more on car tax 😂, its the justification of paying more, I'm well under budget for my incoming £ but when it gets close to my mortgage bill then it's silly, hence why I was asking for car suggestions from an alternate perspective. It wouldn't be an issue if I paid £500 road tax but I would seriously rather not give the government any more than I absolutely require. I mean they are even taxing EVs now, absolutely shocking.
  4. I dont have anything to part ex as I'm currently PCP so just a 4k deposit so if I wanted say a Golf R it would be 30k to finance over 5 years, much more than the PCP prices.
  5. Presumably this is a B8 though ?
  6. I had a really bad experience with VW wanted rid after about 12 months of ownership...
  7. I did actually look at one myself, didn't go as far as getting any quotes though. If you don't mind me asking what are the difference in monthly bills vs your R in total? The s5 is a great choice btw. I would like 5 doors so would have to be a sportback.
  8. My pcp on the Golf R is coming to an end but I am still very undecided what to buy next. There's a few issues I'm finding, insurance for similar cars seem to be far more expensive and also the 40k list price Tax issue, id really like to avoid paying £500 road tax. These are the options I have considered, all options based on a 4 year PCP 10k miles and 4k deposit. RS3 - £520 pm high tax S4 - £450 pm high tax 140i shadow edition - £350 pm S3 - £380 pm 435d - £420pm high tax. C43 AMG £680 pm high tax I currently pay 380 pm on the Golf and roughly 170 pm on fuel, whilst I have no issues paying more I want to make a sensible-ish decision. If im paying 500 pm on a car, 300 on fuel, 500 on tax and 2 grand on insurance the monthly bill would be more than my mortgage. My insurance currently costs me £450 per year, I'm 26. Out of the above options the cheapest to insure is the S4 at only 650. The S3 is over double my Golf R and the RS3 is quadruple. I was tempted to go for a fully loaded S3 but it's not worth the insurance premium jump. I've not added the A45 due to not being able to order from new and the new varient will probably be 50k. I'm really not interested in sticking with vw, had a bad experience this time round and want to get away from them. Anyone have any suggestions ??
  9. rather wait and get it direct for £308
  10. Cant find it on your website? how much for JB1 + cable.
  11. apart from it not running consist, put one on your toy R and run it on a dyno 10 times in a row and check the results.
  12. please please run you car stock vs Jb1 !!!
  13. DTUK box doesn't have a sensor for fuelling unlike the JB1, so it often runs lean with high AFR's
