  1. Update: ive worked it out, just had to remove the bumper trim that pops up with the jet.
  2. Hello Ive got a similar issue on my R where I noticed water dripping out from under the bumper. Ive removed the arch lining, under tray and unclipped the drivers side bumper and can see the part that has broken. Its snapped at the washer jet on the drivers side. Looking into it, its part 5G0955966 -Lift cyl. with nozzle carrier and spray nozzle that I need but I cant seem to get the unit out as it seems to be spring loaded. Anyone got any ideas on what to do without breaking it? Thanks
  3. I also have a bigboi that I like to play with. Noise is probably a bit more than a vacuum cleaner. I normally leave it in the garage or the porch as i have the longer hose
  4. I bought a gti+ in 2020 to go alongside my R. It does wheelspin alot which i cant really say is fun. Polo has some extra tech and dsg but it still love it when i get back in the R
  5. Thanks for the replies I took the wheel to their other branch today as was in the office which is nearby. The chap there said I can get it repaired and they will pay, within reason. He took a photo of it so will look to get a smart style touch up on it before corrosion kicks in. Hopefully he stays true to his word. If I ever need new tyres I always take the wheels off myself, as well as remove the weights with either the pressure washer or a plastic tool. Not sure why I didnt check the inside of the rims at the time tbh. Luckily it wasnt the R wheel which has ceramic coated wheels, but a polo GTI+ which only has ceramic coated bodywork. The wheel was transported to them in the R boot though Wheels are mint though as its only a year old so still very angry,
  6. Hello All Just had to get a tyre changed due an ever growing bubble in the sidewall. Id taken the wheel off myself, cleaned it, and removed the wheel weights to reduce shop contact/damage. I said to the place, please be careful and they are pristine, yet the inside comes back like this: There are about 4 different points of damage and im fuming. Phoned them up once I got home and they say its because their machine claws have to make contact there to protect the front of the tyre. Does that sound right to everyone? Granted the front is fine, but to damage the inside like that on one tyre change, with my track record of flats, id have no black paint left! I normally use a "prestige" mobile person with rubber tools but he has since given up so gave this other place a punt and got a part worn to match the other axle - big mistake
  7. I go with V power pretty much all the time, rarely Momentum. I find with V Power, the exhaust tips stay cleaner for longer, Momentum seems much dirtier...?
  8. Interesting - I wonder if thats just a dynamic light assist option? Will ask VW and see what they say Yeah ive used Philips ones and Osram in the past (including on another car) and im lucky if they last 12 months. Got sick of replacing them. Might have to go back to them though lol On the point of fitting - LED bulbs seem so much bigger in length with the heatsink. I finally got around to looking under the bonnet again and there is no space once you take the plastic cap off the rear of the headlight body. That and all the extra cables and the led driver, dont think im going to both and just get the brighter halogens again.
  9. Thread revival! Whats the reviews from those that fitted LED cornering lights now some time has past? Still working ok and pleased with them? After my osram knightbreakers blow, i fitted the OEM bulbs again - now one of these has blown. Anyone gone for something like this:https://www.hids4u.co.uk/h7-philips-x-tremeultinon-led-gen2.html ? Does the 7.5R still have halogen cornering bulbs or is there a LED option via VW now? Seem to recall reading this is the case but im prob wrong..... Thanks
  10. wow, they have to strip it down that much? 🙄 Might just keep the leak lol
  11. Yeah this is disgusting. Makes me question parking up in large events now. That was only a 18 plate.
  12. Im still waiting for my new part! Keep getting warnings of low coolant around once a week now. 😣
  13. Mine has been diagnosed as the thermostat housing but there is no stock in Germany so I have to wait for it to get fitted...... No stock as everyone is getting new ones fitted Anyone got a 3d printer so I can print my own? Might work better lol
  14. I found my stop start wasn't really working much - kinda overlooked it really. Then all of a sudden one Saturday it was cranking slower than normal but just started, then by Monday it wouldn't hold enough charge to last 4 hours while parked up. Bought my own new battery and had to use that to jump start till VW could replace it for me and reset the car on the Wednesday. My car was just past 3 years old when it happened. 30k miles, mixed driving.
  15. So ive jacked the car up and had a look. Got the white coolant crystal residue and wiped the damp marks on the undertray ~ pinky. So confirms i have a leak. Will go back to dealer with more confidence this time and wont take no for an answer Many thanks
