Would anyone know if the following mods fit on the Mk8 R? S3 Jacking point kit (as per the mk7.5 - part no’s would be great 🤞) Full underbody protection panel (think it was from the German variant? To give sump better protection - again part no would be really helpful 👍 many thanks

Most people have PIR sensors for house alarms - fit vibration sensors on the doors and windows that way the alarm goes off before they can get in. - Sometimes enough to make them run. Fit secure by design handles and locks to the doors and windows. - slows them down. CCTV is cheaper that ever now, get a Hikvision NVR and set a permitter alert on it, also worth fitting an anti vandal dome below face height so you capture the face under the peaked cap! - Might put them off. the old fashioned steering lock again may be a good visual deterrent. nothing will stop them, but deterrent is the the best method IMHO

Welcome, love the car, looks fab in the LG. Your correct starting with the Haldex, make sure the filter is removed and cleaned with photo's as well. Check the front prets for buckles, they are prone on our roads. Get the Audi jacking points fitted so it wont get damaged lifting. Extended underbody tray to protect the sump - a must Look at the CS front discs and pads, they wont rust out anywhere near as fast. Tyre wise put the PS4S on, make such a difference Enjoy and stop looking at the MPG, its the wrong car for that!

Marine damage I belive they call it. Refuse it, they will straighten it and blend (overspray) the paint over the 2 lpanels, it will wreck your head when you see it under the correct light.

Yes i got Pauls, (nice bloke by the way!) sent them in for Diamond cutting today, also have a Grey with Black Prets but they are as soft as sh*t. Nearly went all black but I agree the spokes are too wide for a single colour.

Just picked up a set of Cadiz wheels that need a refurb. Opinions on keeping standard or get them coated black? Indium Grey R My Prets are buckled, hope these are a bit more robust.

I had the exact issue with a TSi Golf. After investiagations from the dealer it was the speaker issue descibed above. They did this under warranty.

Just had the Haldex oil done at VW Athlone. 30km and filter was in a bad state. they took it out cleaned it, photos before and after - great service. Well worth doing Judging by the filter

As with all crime it’s about prevention. nothing stops them but at least make it difficult. Composite door with 10 point lock and anti snap cylinder. Vibration sensors on alarm, laminate in between glazing and CCTV. You can leave keys in a metal biscuit tin for keyless. Just my view.

I put the CSS brakes on the front because they look better and no reports of the hub rusting! performance wise I havnt noticed anything! whilst on the subject I want to replace the rears with the same plan, look like the fronts and won’t rust! any ideas would be appreciated

I just put the CS brakes and pads on, look awesome and no more rusty bits on show! just need to figure out what to do with the rears now!

Have to say digital all the way, agree they could be better and need more configuration options but I love them. Acknowledge the change, and enjoy it!
