    Gut feeling is it’s nothing to worry about, I wondered if just a rubbing gaiter, I’ve been too busy to have a proper look, my brother in law has a garage and over the next few weeks I’ll take it in and have a look, he is a Range Rover master mechanic, I’m sure he can find his way around a VW.     I’ve just spent about 12 hours reading this entire thread and ordering bits as I go, eibach’s ordered, plus a few other bits, love the look of your car. Have to say I think the silver prets looked better but I have a mental block when it comes to black alloys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Put in race, switch off the esp as you did, but the gearbox needs to be in S not D, it should be in S when you put it in sport mode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I think I have the same feeling, sometimes feels like it’s lumbering, usually when just driving in auto and then it seems to be a mix of unresponsive throttle, dsg not sure which gear to be in as you suddenly change your driving style and it was not expecting it, but then if your driving it right, in manual and revs high it feels fcuking quick.     The main reason I went for the R, was the fact it was awd, I picked this car so it would be good through the winter, if you’ve got enough money to be able to garage it then you’ve prob got enough money to get a new one every couple of years, drive it, enjoy it I say!     I think GTS sounds better that GTI, prob due to Porsche’s badge range. I quite like the fact it is just the R. I would not mind if it was called the GTR either. I’m just glad it doesn’t say golf on the back [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
