  1. Hey Ian, Inside the S3 wins hands down. Everything feels high quality and the fit and finish is spot on IMHO. The R is nice, but it just doesn’t feel as special inside to me, although the seats hug you better. Performance is better with the 7 speed DSG, however sport mode still isn’t as good as with a tuned TCU. I also prefer the ride in the R, but I haven’t pushed it that hard yet. Also the wagon makes a better exhaust sound stock, compared to the S3. I wouldn’t mind an S4 Advan, however the price difference between that and R wagon isn’t worth it to me. I’d rather spend the difference on mods! [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks Jon! What happened to the Macan Turbo? Still got it? [emoji4] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Nice work! Looking forward to hear the result! Should be epic!
  4. Sounds like you might have to bite the bullet and go with a turbo back exhaust and stage 2 tune!
  5. How are finding the stop/start and soundaktor volume? I reckon these are the first 2 VCDS/OBD eleven coding changes people make!
  6. Looks like us estate owners will just have to play the waiting game! 😆
  7. That color looks amazing! I bet it looks even better in the metal!
  8. You could always go for a tuning box like JB4? That way it can be removed prior to servicing and possibly not impacting your warranty. 😆
  9. Also tuning boxes i would say have a less risk at being detected (since as you have pointed out) can be removed before servicing. However the information being stored by the car while it is being driven with the box installed may raise raise red flags when being service.
  10. With tuning there is always the risk of the dealer finding out that you have modified a stock car. I don't think any tuner can guarantee that a flashed TCU cannot be detected, but I'm happy to be proved wrong! As they say, you gotta pay to play!
  11. Do you guys find the sound 'boomy' at all when accelerating lightly between 3000-4000rpm, specifically when driving up hills??
  12. @nige bcs Have you been able to find a lucky volunteer with an estate to test fit the res delete yet?
  13. I'm guessing with a res delete you will get even more snap, crackle and pops on release of the accelerator?
  14. BCS res delete with J-pipe should prevent the drone.
  15. Could always go a JB4! Have you got your hands on an OBD eleven or VCDS cable yet? Can tweak stuff like reducing the Soundaktor volume and disabling stop/start for example.
  16. Are you going to ECU + TCU tune it? Stage 1 will transform the car!
  17. Indium grey looks amazing on the estate! Wish that color was available when I was buying mine, still can't complain too much with Lapiz blue though!
  18. Stance looks mean now! Nice touch the spacers giving a staggered setup!
  19. Would the normal price of the estate res delete be the same as the hatch Nige?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. First successful IKEA trip with loads of boot space to spare! [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Car looks amazing! Love the contrast of the red and black. The wheels also suit the estate brilliantly!! What’s next after the badge skins?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Anyone else with an estate close to Nige want to be the the first estate with a BCS res delete??[emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thinking possibly a JB4 or looking at what ABT have to offer since they have warranty for 2 years, but big $$$ there. Personally, I prefer a proper flash tune and still not decided if I will go down that path. If so, I’d be looking at something local like Recode, E-Tuners, Underground Performance or RD Technik. But I’ll try and play the waiting game for at least a year! [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks Greg! Any plans for a stage 1 ECU and TCU tune??
  25. Further to the question of fitting a BCS res delete to an R estate, do BCS make it for the estate? From my understanding, the hatch res delete isn't a direct bolt on for the estate. Anyone know if this is correct?
