  1. Yeah there are many other marques with the same issue, probably to bring it up after the warranty and recommend a new set 😂 Scooby still has her original discs, she's a summer toy with very low mileage lol. And just noticed I put rush lol My mk7.5 isn't near as bad as my mk7 was they were scabby when I collected it.
  2. Yeah it is a joke on any car never mind one of this cost. On my mk7 I was told if they done mine they'd have to do everybody's. I've got a 12 year old scooby and it shows no signs of rush in any hubs. Poor show VW!!
  3. Just been contacted by my stealer about how they've noticed I don't have kak-net set up and.... Blah blah blah..... "This is essential we have this activated for you as it has so many more beneficial features you are currently going without. Blah blah blah..... It is also an excellent way to monitor your car’s service record and provides you with servicing updates and recall notifications. However more importantly this is also something that should be done as it is a crucial feature in your warranty registration. Wtf is with the last bit! Seriously? Would need to check T&C of warranty but can't see it. Imagine you were of the generation that had no capable phone or data package? They then try to massage me to going on by saying not to worry as it's all FREE....lol
  4. Yep....we're doomed.....doomed 🤣 probably been eating tracking chips for years lol
  5. Lol I did think about that! I do. No Huawei though 🤣🤣 . Big bro is everywhere!!
  6. Yeah paper car like the old trabant 🤣
  7. Pretty sure on latest golf it's free for 2 years. Haven't bothered even trying it, it's for spying and collecting valuable (to VW) car data. Just like when they were handing out free OBD dongles on the last gen (mines is still in it's box somewhere). Ford has the same now all for data collection, but if they give it for free they'll get a bigger up take.
  8. Are you in normal or Race mode? I have one annoying rattle coming from the bit plastic at the rear view mirror, over the sensors, and one from the dash. In Normal they're hardly there but in Race 🤪
  9. I was looking at these to...couldn't decide which one looked better. Was waiting to see some pics of 2019s with splitters
  10. Had a listen to this under the bonnet the other morning. Mines doesn't sound like it's coming from the alternator. Even with the bonnet open it still sounded much louder at the rear of the drivers side (right hand) wheel arch, so it sounds like it's coming from the lower rear of the engine area. Anything to do with the DSG hydraulics?
  11. That was one of the reasons the dealer gave about not changing them one time same for rusty sub frame lol
  12. As mentioned it's all down to them beans and us dumbos......at the end of the warranty, if not before, stealers will advise discs need changed anyway. Some with some mechanical savy will decide otherwise based on facts others will be easy pickings! And they could solve the rust issues....my 2007 scooby has no signs of rust on these parts, neither did my wifes last 2 Fiesta STs after 3 years each. If they save a few £s a car not doing so globally that's a lot of money. A lot of easy pickings will also take free stealer health checks and come away with a nice bill!!
  13. Took me ages to get my last R in the right spot - clutch was the main "tricky" bit for me to get just right. DSG makes this much easier - should have done that last time! 🤣🤣
  14. Yeah as they have to a lot of other things that have either been cheapened or disappeared altogether.............mind you...they have a big loss to recuperate - like a lot of things now designed to have a shortened life to be replaced.
  15. My 2017 had this, noticed it after about 2 weeks and 300 miles when giving it a good close clean. Dealer looked, said need to speak to VW...spoke to VW they said need to speak to dealer...........eventually VW said if they done mine they'd have to do them all - which really meant gtf! And they'd only have replaced them with the same rubbish so same would happen anyway! Ended up getting fed up seeing it and after about 10 months and as many other have done and used hammerrite myself. Lol then noticed scabby front sub frame and couple of other things - dealer took car for a look and the Service Mangler (yep!) said nothing covered and that VW wouldn't expect people to be looking under their car and it was built for a price - you really have to laugh at these douches..............
